Im pretty new to the Fit family. Just got mine 6 weeks ago and so far so good.
PS I live in Fort Lauderdale and I dont see many fits on the raod

 

I was wondering if your fit can keep up with traffic in florida. I'm in pembroke pines,FL and I'm very tempted to get one but I'm just afraid I can't keep up with traffic on I75. thanks

 

Hey Dude,
My Fit has no power when you first step on the gas but once it gets going it keeps up with traffic very easy. I have the sport model that has the shifters on the steering wheel so I use it a lot when passing cars on I95.

damn guys sorry for being not so attentive for a thread i started...the little fit icon what i did was copy it from someone (it was white b4) and then just turn it black on adobe (you have to zoom in on it)...aside from keeping up with traffiic have a 5 spd sport and i really zip aroubd cars in it the Fit. The pick is there, but it does get going. I like the car and for highway traffic there are slower cars out there then the Fit. Its a great car and i am loving mine

 

i am starting to see alot more Fits around my area...keep your eyes open they will appear

Hey, Love my MR fit, bought it in Oct. and live in SF. Had a good laugh on a trip when I came out of a restaurant and found mine had doubled (another parked next to me, same color but base model). Found out she lives in SF also. Beginning to see a few more on the road but not often.

Hi, Im new to this forum as well and dont own a Fit, yet. Im in Miami and Ive been shopping around a little bit. Im contemplating trading in my 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX for the Fit to save some money. I was wondering where you guys bought your cars and how much? I went to Beach Honda on 163st and those guys are jerks. Where do you recommend I go?
Also, going from a 230hp turbo car to a 109hp economobile, Im a little nervous but really really really want the mpg and space to fit all of my surfboards. Im also thinking about getting the auto so my girlfriend can drive and because 5spd in traffic sucks. What do you guys think?

I have a Fit sport automatic and it has no pick up but once it's past 55 or 60 MPH on I 95 it has no problem keeping up with the big guys. Now with the gas im not very happy but I read that the sport stick is the one that gives you really good milage. Overall I like the car it has a decent stereo, air bags and the price is right. I got mine in Pompano Honda but I had to wait like 3 months before I got it and I got the run around when I called to see where it was but the truth is that if its not in the dealer and you order one you have to wait some time before you can have it.

I think the fit is great. Gas mileage high 20's with no highway driving, all stop and go down US1. Took a few trips and with all 95 driving mid 70's and filling up right when I got and and off 39mpg. Little lower in North Carolina due to mountains but never under 27 and that with 3 adults, 2 pairs of skies, 3pairs ski boots and luggage for a week all packed in with room to spare. A little tight for person in back but normal driving is just me. I have put 2 mountain bikes inside with seats down and hung off back with rack and minor ajustments to keep straps off spoiler but wasn't thrilled with mileage (dropped 5mpg) but gave us more room inside for other things. Bought mine thru Auto Source of America Inc., tell Holly I sent you. She's great and will even deliver car to you. Depends on how flexible you are with colors and how long it will take. Got mine in 3 weeks. Good Luck.

 

Thanks for the responses guys, Im going to go check out a few more places this weekend. I want the sport, silver, auto. I guess im not too flexible on the color, id only really go for silver, white, or black. I like the blue, but my girlfriend doesnt, so thats a no. Ill let you guys know how it goes.

 

If you go to HondaFit.com youcan build the Fit and itwill put you in contact with local dealers. I waited a while form mine but I got what I wanted, sport, blue automatic.
