I noticed some confusion on the side of those who use the standard instead of the metric (my self included). I hope this will clear some things up.

1 meter = 39.37in (39 3/8) = 3ft 3,3/8in
1/2meter = 19.685in (19 11/16) = 1ft 7,11/16in

6mm = .24in (1/4)
12mm = .47in (1/2)

I was wondering what the length is between each of the markings. (The ones used to cut the LED light strip). The reason why I’m asking is because the rear door still is about 10 inches (.25meters, 254 mm). Just give me the metric measurements and I’ll convert them to standard, thanx. By the way how bright are the red LED?

6.5 cm between each "cut" mark. The red LED's are not as bright as the white ones, but are still bright enough to light the entire door sill no problem. I'll try and get a pic of the red LED's

 

You mentioned that the connectors come with the strips, and that I can cut off any access from the strips if there to long. My question is can I reuse the cut off access by putting connectors on them. So I don’t have to buy 2 strips that are a ½ meter long when I’m only going to use 26cm (out of that ½ meter) per rear door still. Basically what I’m asking is if I can take one ½ meter long strip cut it in half and make two working strips out of it.

 

You can, but you'll have to be mechanically and electrically include to do it. (obviously you'll be doing it at your own risk)

Fit of rage do you have any idea about how long its gonna be till we make a move on this? Im curious cause i decided to get the 4 red strips for the engine bay as well but dont have all the cash right now but will soon. Let me know a time frame and a break down for all 8 strips in price when you get a chance. Thanks bro for the pm and the extra info.
