I can post pictures tomorrow of a few blank garnishes and the one painted one for Fitcapo. Keep in mind this is for the 03 - 08. I ordered the 09 not long ago and should be getting it next week.

Here you go. All finished. The last step is putting it on the trunk and buffing and polishing it some more. I just buffed it but didnt polish it so thats why all the swirls are there.

 

I thought it was interesting and I thought I should share...

as a little summary of what he did, he took money from numerous customers' money and never followed through, i.e. delivering the product or refunding the money.

Not trying to instigate nothin, but just stating the facts...

 

If you go to the first group buy I created in the same thread section you will see my response to that comment above me as in to how you guys are guaranteed that this wont go the same way I did it in scion life. I made my mistakes when I was younger and first started the business, I know more, know what not to do, and am now manufacturing my own garnishes, so theres no chance of delays since I can just make one when ever I want.

Ive proved to you gu ys everything I had to prove, all the questions you guys asked earlier, all the doubts, thats all been taken care of already. Twice. This is the 3rd time somebody comes in and tries to ruin this for me. I wish some people would look a little before they posted blindly.

 

Just leaving you guys an update!

THe dealer was taking their sweet holiday time on getting me a garnish so they refunded me the money as I asked and since I can trust vtecfit1 and he did a great job getting me the first panel for the 07-08 fit, I asked him if he would be able to get me an 09 hatch panel and he was super nice and was able to order me an 09 hatch panel. Its expected to get it with in the first few days of Jan. Which after that I will get straight to work, and have the final copy done with in 2 days of getting the panel.

After I take pics of the final copy then I will create a mold of that, create the replica product, and test fit it. If all goes well which I expect it to. Then I will get to work on creating another mold so I can work on 2 panels at a time which should allow me to have at least 5 done a week.. Doing that will be able to get the demand of panels sent, and then build some stock after the excitement lowers a bit

Somebody give vtecfit1 some rep points for helping me out!

I'm local and looks like I'll be the one to test fit (pun intended).

If iKona wants to put peoples' minds at ease, I'll be meeting him in person and am picky about quality, etc. After I meet him hopefully I'll be able to vouch for the guy. If not, at least I'll be able to tell everyone where he lives

 

Just giving you guys a picture. This is just the mold being set up to have a new garnish made. Tomorrow Ill post pictures of a few garnishes. This week Im also sending a garnish or one of each if I can to vtecfit. And then around the 15th Fitcapo will be coming over to pick up his revised garnish and well have pictures for you guys

And hopefully fitcapo can make it down to pick up his garnishes. 2 other guys ordered which I will be getting around to their orders this week and Im still waiting on the 09 panel vtec but im not getting any replies :-/

The one person who pre ordered will be getting more then he paid for for being a great sport about the wait and everything. And for everybody else, expect this soon! I already have a local who volunteered for test fitting . Again pictures will follow as soon as I have some

Just wanted to let you guys know I got the garnish yesterday and will post pics of progress! I plan to have some finished this new week. I have one pre order that has been waiting patiently so hes first up for a garnish!

Also, how is this going to work? Do you complete the piece, send it in and we send you our blank one? Do we send in our OEM piece to being with? Is there any kind of discount for sending our piece to you after receiving the new piece (if that's how it works)? Thanks

 

I actually dont need the OEM piece because the piece I have is manufactured by us and is a direct replacement panel. They derive from a mold.

Painted ones or CF ones come ready to install, unpainted might need some minor adjustments.

 

Any word on my Carbon mirror covers i paid for? I couldn't find the thread about them to post this in, it seems to have disappeared. When should I expect these?
