2009 Fit Hood
Over the Christmas holiday I was thinking what els can I make for the 09 fit since theres not much for it yet. I noticed there arent many hoods (maybe I wasnt looking hard enough) But all I saw was a CF OEM look hood. I sat down and started drawing some ideas christmas morning and came to realize theres not much you can really do with it because of the body lines in teh hood. You can remove the body lines but then it wont match the grill. So my one of 3 ideas is the hood below.

I already have the copy sent to my lawyer so she can forward it to her friend whos a copy wright lawyer so if we do plan to do this then we have proof were the first and maybe more depending on how far I take the copy wright or if I move it to bigger plans.
What do you guys think? IMO it looks more agressive and def more sporty. Ill have this picture up for a little then Ill remove it for safety. After that if anybody wants the image they can ask me and Ill send it to them.
Id like to start a prototype but would first like to see that 5 people are interested in this and get a deposit from at least 3 people (15 - 20% down) for the hood. The hood would be priced maybe $200 - $275 but no more than $300. And the price also depends on what competitors price their AM hoods for. What ever the going price is on an FRP (Fiberglass) hood is what I would charge but a little cheaper to be ahead.

I like it. I wouldn't get it because I'm not a fan of scoops in hoods usually, but it's a neat idea. How about another one with the scoop going the other way, further up the hood like on 99-04 Mustangs and WRXs?
That hood looks great!! I would buy one if the quality was there on the top and bottom of the hood along with being able to use the OEM hood lock..

Well if enough people like it Ill put together a group buy list then Id start a prototype. Id buy a hood and start modding it the way it needs to be modded. Then paint it and show you guys.

And possibly a wing
If things look good Ill do GI on that and then it would take me a few months until the prototypes and molds are done. I never did anything this big so it would be the first

The deposit would be like %15 - %20 down on the hood but I wouldnt take deposites until I can get 5 people who would be interested in having one. The price would be more than $200 and less than $300. What you really need is someone with a 09 Fit in your area that can let you build of the actual car. I'm really happy to see someone (you) take interest into making good quality products locally (North America). Now if only someone would do us all a favor and bring their car to you!
I had a few guys volunteer locally. I have to look through my PMs. But for this I most likely would just buy the hood unless somebody was willing to lend their hood over for the build. The great thing is they would get the job done for free! hint hint!
