NST's pulley is not the lightest out there, and they dont produce any power.

Just like a lightweight flywheel, it is NOT a power increase, but a response increase.

getting 3-5hp out of our motors with our mediocure redline means this company is going WAY too lightweight.

I think the company's name NEEDS to be told in order to get more interest. Because if its just some small time performance shop with no history of pulleys, I certainly am not interested

+1

My LWP is 1.5 lbs with no MIL. You really cant go much lighter than that. Even if you did there isn't enough room for a legitimate gain. The best combo is to couple this mod with a LW-Flywheel. A 3-5 hp gain doesn't seem possible, maybe 1-2, then again LWP aren't about the hp gain they are about the increase in responds like 13fit said.

An Under Drive set (crank, alternator, AC delete) might produce a 3-5 gain on a dynopack...maybe.

Wow $350.

There are LWP on the market for the GE, Id like to see a UDP Set, something that hasn't been done. I bought mine from Super GT for $176 USD (that includes the shipping from Hong Kong).

Super GT Pulley:
Super GT Ltd.

That pulley is just over 28 ounces.

NST's pulley is 33 ounces.

Factory I believe is just a tad under 80 ounces. Seems to be skipping around 75-79 ounces from info online.

I think the NST one would be my choice. I like losing weight, but I like the minor interia at the center, considering the oil pump is right there.

But for those going for sheer weight loss, the SuperGT pulley is a full disc. Perfect for machining a few holes, or turning a chamber inside, and possibly losing an extra 5-10 ounces

Haha. Being an aluminum pulley, like you said, I rather have the extra weight for insurance purposes. At 1.525 lbs the Super GT pulley is light enough for me, my focus is on the flywheel at this point.

$350 is absurd for a single pulley.

Its not making money off of naive fit owners, so much as taking advantage of a limited market.

Not all of us like ordering out of the states unless setup through ebay or amazon.

But yes, $350 is far north of even the big brand names for other more popular vehicles.

BUT consider this. If it is CNC designed and created/cut, the costs will be high at first, but should go down.

Perhaps I will indulge once the price goes under $200, but that depends on its quality and final weight

I would be interested but the skepticism created in me by the 3-5 hp gain will cause me to wait for the product to hit the market and be proven by multiple independant users first.

Seems like the gains are estimated high and cant even be graphed yet since the product doesnt exist yet. Many theories look well when engineers put them on paper but never prove out. is this a CNC manufacturing company that wants to build a product by making it match oem dimensions but using lighter material? Has here been an ngineer involved in the calculations that led them to say 3-5 hp? Im not trying to knock the intention of this post but I feel knowing how they came up with that number may change my feeling on its attainability.

I say if its that good and they are that sure then they should build it, test it, prove what it could do and then they could even sell it for more because of the amount of hp gain for the minimal effort and parts replacement. That definately woud make it worth more it in the real world market. People would pay more for the gain not available elsewhere.
