Mudguards for Gen2

G'Mornin!
Need mudguards for my '12 Fit.
Tried searching for OEM or aftermarket, no results. I did see some apparently made for Accords(?) that came up when I punched in Fit.
Anyone know of any mudguards to fit my Fit?
Would like molded guards and not flat guards.
Nik

If you have the sport model I'm reasonably sure the side skirts have to come off for the mudflap to fit properly.

Just checked carbonguard's website. I saw no listing for any Honda Fit, let alone a Gen.2
Perhaps one would need to call them.

I am temped to buy the oem set of 4 and see if there would be anything left of the front ones after trimming for the additional body work.

Correct. Or you can trim or modify the standard guards to fit the Sport models.

I have searched around but haven't had any luck finding info on this. Are you aware of any pics or info on what the front guards would look like after they have been trimmed to fit?

A local guy did it to his and it looks fine. If that is the look you are going for. He isn't a member here though.

Well that doesn't do me any good!! haha

It's not so much a look, as it is a winter in Wisconsin desire!

2013 Fit Sport. I have modified the front splash guards to fit nicely. Took a bit of work; Dremel tool, heat gun, sanding, and 2 sided industrial type tape. You do not have to remove the rocker-panel but you do have to trim the guards some. The rears fit properly as is. Part # 08P00-TK6-100, https://www.hondapartsconnection.com...et-08p00tk6100.

Interesting. I figured they would fit with some cutting. Do you have any pics of them installed, or them off the car and trimmed? It seems like the front 2/3 of the Fit stays much cleaner then the rear 1/3. I would be curious to see if that changes by adding mud guards.

Probably more for looks than functionality for the fronts.

Yeah I figured there was a reason honda didn't provide mud guards, and guessing the ground effects cover most of the area a mud flap would.

That did turn out really good! Gotta love the white/black contrast...thanks for sharing!!

I have a Tidewater Blue Metallic, and feel like I would need to paint match the rears for sure, as black isn't a great contrasting color for the TBM.

I would say that the color is really a charcoal like rubbery surface, and I would not paint them. Think the contrast would look good on any color.
