Possible New Fit owner

I am currently in the market for a new car. Ever since the fit came out I have liked the car. I hoping to purchase a 2008 fit sport. My question would is i live in western NC were there are lots of mountains, is the fit going to be able to make it an incline with out many problems? it isn't really steep just annoying.

Yes!

Although Missouri isn't mountainous there are plenty of hills. I know, the MT version at least, has no issue with hills. I've owned several spirited 4 valve cars (85 MR2 and 87 Acura Integra) and the Fit is slower but not by much. If hills or acceleration are an issue you might consider pursuing the MT version.

Yes MT stands for manual trans.
And yes the Fit will make it up hills, but not with ease. If you dont care about revving your little VTEC you will make it up but MPG would be hurt a bit.

Hey BrianT - I live in West Virginia and there are nothin' but mountains where I am. I traded in my Ford Ranger XLT for the Fit and the Fit handles the mountains much easier than the Ranger. I don't have any problems you will run up the rev's some but the car will pull on a really steep grade without any problem. Hope that helps. Best thing is to take one for a test drive and hit the mountains!

PS Anyone looking for a 2008 VBP Sport - they just got one in at Lester Raines Honda in South Charleston, WV - it is a beauty! It is the only Fit on the lot!
