so i was think of doing my roof in matte black(outside roof), but was unsure because the hood, wing nor the hatch are CF or black. so should i go for it or not?

 

id think you shoudl go for it if you get a cf hood or something! so it flows!

Nice to see I'm not the only one who thinks this.

Nothing against all the CF folks here, just my opinion.

 

I wouldn't go as far to say it is hideous. It just looks rather unsightly against some colors if it is not painted. For some reason people think that buying a CF product means it doesn't need painted.

 

I always felt that those with CF mods should paint their carbon fibre hoods. I think carbon fibre is a great mod, however i have to agree with some of you other folks, as carbon fibre can make a beutiful car look hideous. Is carbon fibre expensive to paint or something?

 

CF is ok as long as a good quality paint is used to make it look nice, I agree it should be painted.

my buddy has it done on his G35 and it looks pretty dope

and also seeing that i work in a bodyshop paint will be cheap as hell lol

 

Painting it kinda kills carbon fiber for me... it's not as fun to show off

 

a lot of really cool designs can be done with CF body panels and parts though with a good quality paint.
