i agree. stance looks more agressive. i think it increases hp by 5-10.

 

Well atleast that much. I think the next thing im going to get is maybe a J's replica front lip. Anyone know if they make a carbon fiber j's replica lip? i dont feel like paying to have it painted. haha

 

dont think there is a carbon fiber one out. the real j's lip has carbon fiber on the fins on each end but you still have to paint the middle.

Well a little update on the car...After having my Skunk2 springs for a while now, i can say the ride is nice, yet i want more(adventually getting the ProCs). Just ordered my J's Racing C-pillar bar, hoping it comes in sometime next week. To come: Ultra Racing room bar and fender braces, Progress rear sway bar, T1R front sway bar, GT Spec trunk cage, 75A Innovative Mounts, and once im done with suspension ill decide what to do for exhaust

 

which ultra racing room bar are you talking about? is it the floor bar? i think you might be suprised to find out that the usdm fit doesnt have the mounts for this bar.

Oh really? I contacted Ultra Racing and they said that it has been installed on the USDM fit. Do you know if the Js Racing floor bar will fit? or do we just not have anywhere on the bottom mount of the seatbelts to install a bar?

 

the j's floor bar does not fit cause our seat belts are mounted to our seats rather than the kick panel on the floor. if you cut holes in the plastic panelling and drill holes and tap the metal you can install the floor bar. i have heard that the rear trunk cage doesnt really do anything either but i dont have any hard evidence of that. let us know how all your chassis bracing works out. sorry if some of the news is disheartening.

 

Thanks for the heads-up, would sure hate to waste $120+ on a bar that wouldnt fit. But i was curious to know. I stumbled upon the J's cross bar and do you happen to know if this will fit our Fit? I cant remember seeing anywhere they would mount to the roof on our model. Here it is

 

i have wondered that myself. it looks like you need to tap custom holes into the ceiling of the fit it doesnt utilize those bolts with the plugs over them in the center of the bars.

 

These damn cross bars just look like they add horsepower nevermind if they help anything they are sexy . I emailed Bulletproofauto but like a lot of dealers, thats all they are. Eh, maybe someday we will be enlightened on how these bolt up or if they really are for only the non USDM fit

 

try contact ben or jay at aj racing. they do the actual research to see if these parts work with our fits. those cross bars would work if you drove hard enough.

 

Oh i can for sure see the cross bars working a lot better than the trunk cage. I was looking in my trunk and saw where the "trunk cage" would bolt to and i really dont see how it would help, if any gains in handeling, it would be minimal and not worth the $350.

 

the trunk cage wont brace anything. its purely for looks. ultra brace c-pillar bar, j's rear strut bar, and progress sway bar are what i have and i think the rear of the fit is braced enough for everyday use.

 

I think im just going to go with J's front and rear strut bars instead of other brands just to match the c pillar bar. I hate when stuff doesnt match, haha. Did you actually notice a difference with the sway bar? I know on my old EG, adding a 19mm rear sway bar was night and day.

 

the sway bar made a huge differance. the strut bars dont feel much differant but in hard cornering the bars help. the front under brace will help some too.

 

About the front under brace, How difficult is it to install? It just looks busy torwards the front, though i havent really looked at where the bar mounts.

 

you just have to take out one bolt off the a-arm on each side. its really easy.

 

Which front under bar do you have? T1R?

 

yeah i have the t1r. its a solid one piece design. i dont like the adjustable j's one. it could create flex with kinda ruins the purpose of having the bar. spoon and tanabe also have the same under bar.
