Angry WTF is the hurry?! (Running RED lights and near-missing me)

So, I'm coming back from taking the kid back to Pitt U last night, and this woe-man runs a red light and nearly hits me!

I mean, it wasn't yellow, it wasn't even PINK! Her light was full RED, for a few seconds!

I hit my horn pad and the WOLO BAD A$$, I mean WOLO BAD BOY, air horn yells at her, LOUDLY, and with authority!

I stops into the Sears Auto Center to check stock on winter tires (tyres, for yunz Brits ; ) and picks me up a set of Blizzaks and a set of 14-6 aluminum rims for them to go onto.

(I ordered a second set (4) of TPMS sensors from Honda Parts at HondaPartsDeals.com: Honda Accessory, Honda Car Parts, Honda Auto Parts, Honda Accord Parts for $110 and Sears will install them in the new rims for me, but they're easy to install DIY. )

I gets in my VBP and starts "Herr" up and I can't shift out of park!

I override the transmission inter-lock and gets Herr home.

I checks things out and find I don't have brake lights either.

I checks the under the hood (bonnet : ) fuse box and #16 is blown. It protects the brake light and horn circuits.

The horn must really pull a lot of current.

Replaced the 15A with a 20A and will keep my eye on it.

I really don't use the horn much, so I am not too worried about frying the circuit.

Push comes to shove, I'll install the provided horn relay and be done with it!

I had to vent.

Thanks and later,

Hi, Bro!

It was a 30 something A/American woe-man driving a dark blue, uh, Toyota???

Must have though her Toyota trumped the traffic laws!

Or may be she thinks Fits are $hits?

Some people suck at living life!

I wonder what she thought she was in a hurry for?

My girl is calling me for coffee.
My other girl is in the garage.

Later Bro,

Glad you and the car are OK. It has gotten so bad around here when my light turns green I start counting 1...2...3 before I move from the spot we have so many people running the late yellow and even the red you have to wait a second or two to move.

That's certainly, true in some parts of The Hood, here too.

I now expect someone to run the red light through some of the neighborhoods I travel, but this one was more up-scale, and I was caught off-guard since my light was green for 3 or 4 seconds already!

Thank you.

Thanks, Dave.

I should have bought a brighter color, but I wanted to match my logo (Blue/Gold).

Glad that you are safe... people driving like that will one day get caught up by their reckless behaviour...

I think sounding the horn to express your anger was the least you can do... I were you and had a gun in my glove box, I may just pop that car's tires so it drifts into a wall or some sort mwhahaha... (*cough cough* very twisted mind)

[My comment goes to your edited line...]

Gun control is using two hands and hitting what you aim at!
