You must have a 2009 model because the 2007 did not have that. Can't tell if your talking about the two small ones on each side or your hood liner on each side? I would not tear them off because they both serve a purpose. The small rubber pices on both side are the cushion between the hood and where it closes. The 2007 Fit has that piece all along the entire front of the hood lip. The liners are needed to sheild the hood from heat and other items that might flip up and cause damage. I am just a girl but I would keep them if it were me!

the "thing" on the right in the photo routes air into the air intake. i wouldn't remove it.

on the left is just insulation.

i would not pull off the one on the right since it brings in cold air. the left one weighs almost nothing so its not worth pulling off.

There is just one hood insulation pad on my 2007 Fit and I removed it in order to install aluminum hood louvers.... The round plastic pieces on the edges that held mine on needed to be worked loose by sliding a small flat screwdriver between the pad and the hood under the head of the plastic push in screws and gently pried a little on one side and then the other until you are able to use your fingers to finish the removal.... It took maybe 45 seconds to do.... I am going to coat the underside of the hood with spray on sound deadener since I no longer have the pad.

It's under the hood? Who's going to look at it? You plan on entering it into a car show? Get a CF hood it looks clean with a white car.

If you get a CF one, you wouldn't have those things unless it came with it....right?

Hey...here's an idea! Lets take our stock cars out to a car meet and then open our hoods to reveal our stock motors! Yay!

Who cares if it's gay-looking. Those two gay-looking things are FUNCTIONAL. They're in there because Honda engineers know what they're doing.

Like other people have said: The black triangle on the right is a funnel for your intake, the left swathe of black is insulation.

I wouldn't remove that if I were you.
