K&n air filter free!!!!

for all 2009-2012 fit base and sport models

For those of you who are regular O'Reilly or Autozone visitors you may have noticed a K&N air filter display. much like the one on this link.

K&N's Air Flow Demonstrator Shows K&N Air Filter's Superiority Over Paper Filters

simple and short this filter will fit perfectly in your 09-12 Fit base or sport factory air-box with no modifications at all! the filter on the 1st gen Fit sits at a different angle as pictured in the following link.

2007 HONDA FIT Air Filter

It has what looks like a 45 degree angle on it. i have not tried this if anyone else has a 7 or 8 Fit feedback would be great as to how or if it will fit in and seal in place.

Ok the down side of this. the filter height is about 1 inch tall as the stock filter is 2 inches. clearance is not an issue at all it sits in very snug and the top of the box fits in just as if the paper filter was installed instead. mine went in at 325 miles on a 2012 and has been ever since. i have noticed no difference in sound or performance since it was put in. in my other Honda cars the filter literally made the engine sound deeper and gave me more mid range power. also i installed this before my engine had even been properly broke in so we will see what happens.

That's interesting. I have the Kand N in both my GD and GE. They both had a big difference in sound when the rpm rises. Both became much more throaty.

the thread title is quite deceptive. I came in, thinking there was some sort of legitimate deal on how to get a filter for free (I would then tell my friend, since I already have two).

But instead, only hear how it's borderline stolen.

ANYWAY,

You know... I was thinking about it last night as I was going through the gears. As I just mentioned, I have the K&N filter too/two. But had forgotten about it when I was high-revving. As I'm listening to it, I wonder... "wait, isn't it supposed to be higher pitch than this? This actually sounds nice."

Yeah. It took me a minute to figure out the filter was only free for the OP.
