Car upgrades with your Corona 2020 checks...
I'm not trying to get political with this thread. Anyone planning on doing some Fit upgrades with your Corona 2020 check?
I'm going to buy some gift cards to local restaurants while they are shutdown to help support them and invest some of it. For the Fit, I've been eyeing these some LED bulbs so got an excuse to splurge:

For the Easter Long Weekend:
Swap out Axxess steering wheel adapter with a iDataLink Maestro RR.
Check out what is causing the parasitic battery drain in the GK (threads show that it even happens in a bone stock GK).
Maybe do the Diode Dynamics turn as tail signal mod.
For the future:
Replace my Xuji leather steering wheel wrap with a Xuji leather/suede with marker wrap

Damn that's rough man. Hope things get better for you and this downturn doesn't last too long.

Damn Red05, sorry to hear that. How long are you furloughed until?
About the only thing I would do with that money for the car is gas. And like Rismo said, gift cards to local restaurants. The wife is WFH and the kids are stuck too, so the cars just not been guzzling gas.

I hope that things get better for you and all others in your shoes.
On this forum, there are GK5's with dead batteries after a few days undriven. I've upgraded my battery and it won't last longer than maybe 3 days in summer. This winter it's maybe 2 days.

Very cool. The rear turn signal in the for us definitely lacking and I can see this being a huge improvement.
It's been since Saturday the 28th since I drove the fit last and I was able to start it on the first button push. Maybe I'm lucky or it'll take longer? This is the original battery from the day I've owned the car.
Lol wait the “tail as turn” thing provides a more “modern appearance”?? My 1989 Buick century would beg to disagree (I imagine it will be doing so from a junkyard somewhere).. it had only tail lights, one of which would blink when you turned.
It was particularly stupid to combine them because if you were already braking, then the first indication of a left turn would be when the tail light on that side went OFF leaving the right one on.
Also, the tail lights were on a rear light strip running the width of the car. While not unattractive in a Millennium Falcon kind of way, it was similarly in a constant state of breakdown due to the short life of the 16 (!) incandescent bulbs, none of which could be accessed or replaced from inside the trunk.

Hey if you're doing a conversion hit me up, I'll answer any question you have. (For the second gen) Did mine back in July last year. Big pain to do it but worth it in the end for me.
I'm happy with mine! I got the darkest color bc my tint is dark too at 15% for the sides.
Nice looking forward to getting them installed but went be really driving much lol
Red 05- mine is a '15, I plan to use the conversion kit Elpapas posted in the GK section. Looks like everything needed comes with it, except for a local source of replacement discs. Might try to get a spare set just in case, although it will probably take a while before I'd need them.
Action Jackson- I'll have to give in to some of her more unreasonable demands. The latest one is (after seeing me build a shed to store motorcycles) 'hey, you should build a playhouse in the backyard for the kids,' then showing me photos of two story monstrosities with slides and swing sets attached.
