January '07 issue of Car and Driver includes the Fit in the 10 best cars for '07. It is the top car in the econoclass and lauded for its inclusion of features not matched by any of the competitors.

 

Not surprised. Honda seems to be the poster boy manufacturer for Car and Driver. With John Mendel at the helm, they seem to be taking strives to be a more involved company overall as far as their consumers go. And I think the Fit, new Si, new CR-V, Ridgeline, Element SC are showing their efforts are paying off in both sales and recognition. The new Accord concept looks fantastic and the Fit is a VERY smart package. Maximum space, minimum machine is their slogan.
