Take a look at #7, it's 250 dollars for one of the front dampers. It's pretty insane if there are no aftermarket alternatives for some parts.

I'm aware that the Fit is a lower volume car (vs. the Corolla for example) but why are some parts so much more expensive than others?

There are aftermarket alternatives for that. Fit parts aren’t the cheapest but I’d definitely not call them expensive.

$400 for a factory caliper!!

Luckily there are many aftermarket choices priced around 60 to 100 dollars!

I'm coming from a Corolla where everything is cheap, I've been spoiled!
