I have just had a Nakamichi NAM3510-M7 has just been professionally installed. The old unit was Japanese spec & not viable to use & enjoy here in New Zealand.

And I have found what appears to be 3 unadvertised “features” that are In My Opinion not worth the Time, $$$, etc etc of using this head unit.
1. IF a USB stick in left in the front port of the unit. Even after turning off the unit, when the was radio playing. Starting the car automatically starts the radio, quickly followed ( about 2 seconds ) by switching to the USB. Which is very annoying, since I always listen to the radio in town. Changing to USB music out of town. My USB stick has around 20GB of only MP3 music on it.
2. Songs on the USB stick play in random order. Nothing like their order, shown on a PC!
3, When starting the Volume always returns to it’s Default, Quiet setting. Rather than the setting I left it at.

The NAM3510-M7 has no available Setting/s to fix these issues!!!

IMO, after contacting them several days ago & receiving no reply from Nakamichicaraudio.com . I’m struggling to believe that they care.

Does this seem like Standard Operating Procedure for Nakamichi? and/or other Manufacturers?

IS there any Head Unit that doesn’t have these alleged benefits? Which my dear recently departed, 10 years old Sony did not have.

The shop I bought it from, only sells them. And unfortunately don't know much, if anything about them, that google cannot easily find for them.
