I just received notice of the Class Action in Canada from Honda - dated January 2009. I am in Ontario.
Affects those who purchased or leased
1. a 2001 -2006 Model Year Honda and/or Acura automobile
2. a 2007 model year honda Fit automobile; or
3. a 2000 model year Honda or Acura automobile on or after November 14, 2000.

Same 5% extension of warranty mileage (no time extension), reimbursement of costs incurred outside of warranty within "new warranty" period, reimbursement of leasing kilometres driven in excess of permitted kilometres.
Here's the site for further information and updates
www.canada-odo-action.ca

They anticipate a decision to be made this spring. To be heard in 3 courts for Ontario (March 25/09), Quebec (May 11/09) and British Columbia (April 3/09)

The B.C Class Action includes all Class Members who are residents of B.C. The Quebec action inlcudes all Class Members who are residents of Quebec. The Ontario class action includes all Class Members of Ontario and EVERY other province EXCEPT B.C and Quebec.

Odd though, I haven't recieved anythign regarding this!?! Maybe I should expect something in the mail?
The US action covers only the US and it's territories (Canada is not a US territory yet but Prime Minister Harper seems to be trying). I see Fits2aT posted about class actions in Canada that I was unaware of. I live in Alberta and previously called and emailed Honda Canada with my concerns, expectations and test results done using government mileposts, and a GPS. Due dilligence often gets you through even when there is no court action acording to LemonAid author Phill Edmunston. Thanks for the post Fits2aT

Question 2009 Fit MPG indicator

Not sure where to post this but here goes. My 2009 Fit MPG indicator consistently shows 10% better MPG than the actual measured,(odometer miles and gallons at the pump) MPG. I fill up at about the same time tempconditions at the same place so those factors are eliminated. The factory rep says that the average MPG per trip indicator is not really a true indication but more of an approximate value.Cosequently it really isn't supposed to be accurate. I think they're full of donkey poo but wonder if any one else is having the same experience.I have no complaints re: fuel economy,it's great, but is this a toy or an instrument?
Thanks in advance folks for the help.

Thanks for the insight. Guess I'll quit harassing the rep.Got sorta P.Oed when he told me that as the tires wear and if my windows were open it could affect the accuracy of the thing. Too many years of driving and testing things with wings as well as wheels,(2 and 4),got my voltage kicked up.
Thanks again.

kinda late to post but about a month ago wife and i went on
this road trip of about 190miles one way.

we took the same roads going to and from. to my surprise
the trip odo was off by 8 miles between the to trip and return
trip. NOT 0.8miles, but 8 miles.

thought that was kinda werd. my wife also looked at it and was like
'wait, did we take another road back?' nope...

not sure wat the deal is with these odo's...but i can say it is not
very accurate. not really making a big fuss about it and i really
dont care honestly, but just wanted to let you know.

8 miles is a huge difference. Especially for a 190 mile trip!
