The box that is next to the perma link that looks like a block face. If you click on that, you can add to someone's "Rep Power".

In theory, someone who has a high number is very helpful/well liked.

I guess we can use this rep power a little bit for the trading reputation and just input how the sale went. Cool!

it's basically like a vouch. If you either bought something from that person, read some good information that u liked, read a DIY that u liked (HINT HINT!!) or u feel like that's a great person, u can give em a vouch or a "reputation." Okay at the top right corner above where it says "join date:" of a person, you will see a little gray box with a square face on it (looks like this: =l ). If you click that, you have the option of giving a rep to someone. So now rep me cuz i helped u out. =]

i have rep on crsx and sho...

if this is anything like those, then it's pretty worthless.

i dont contribute anything on either site and have over 3000 rep on crsx, much more on sho.

So now 5 weeks later, is there going to be any explanation? I'm guessing that many members don't know anything about this feature.

So how exactly does it work? I have 20 rep points, but my rep power is only 1. At how many points will it be 2, or 3, etc?

Unhappy n00body likes me?

BUMP!

I have a purplish colored dark dot, and it reads I am an unkown quantity at this point. I have watched other new members go green right away... Even that guy who lipped everybody off and got banned has a green dot!!! Am I getting negative reps for n00b questions or something? Is this about the fuel line magnet question?

Some people have UNDESERVED green dots because a member was cheating by giving points to friends just because they were friends and then begging for points to be added to his account. Points are to be awarded for posts that help someone out or posts over and above normal run of the mill posts. It's not for giving to friends just to boost your own total.
