MR A/T Sport

Sticker: $16.565.00

Out the Door: $17,001.00

Monthly Payments: 184.00 per month - 5 year loan (I had $1000.00 trade in and put down $5,000.00 in cash. Went through my credit union so they take out half the payment from my first pay check and half from the second.) I have been making extra payments on the principal each month to get it paid off sooner - I hate car payments Insurance cost is $92.00 per month. I am looking into AARP - yup over 50 and I own a Fit! because they are much cheaper than State Farm.

Cat beats me for $99.00 at OTD.
Is that OTD price including tax, title, registration, and/or dealer documentation fee (if applicable)? If it is, can you tell me where you're located (not sure where I E is) and what is the tax rate?

Sticker: Never actually looked at it. Called the dealer while I was at school, reserved one 2.5 months in advance, and agreed on a price of $15,595 before TTL and Dealer Prep (ripoff most of the time, but the did wax it for me AND take it to the tinters for me!

OTD: $17,000 minus 1k down, 5 year loan (gotta love being a poor student with a shiney-new car!) (with tint job)

Monthly Payments: $349.88 (F*** 6% interest!)

Insurance: still in school, so I'm on my parent's plan, which helps ALOT. Total for 2 adults with a clean history, a 2 YO civic, a 4 YO CR-V and a 13 YO Mazda Protege plus my 19 year old self and my Fit, 1189/6mos. Not bad, I think.

Out the door cost: 16k ($17.4 with taxes, fees)
payments: $300 (i was in desperate need for a replacement car and just financed the whole thing! i plan on making double payments though - i def do NOT wanna be paying for this car, much as i love it!, in 5 years!)
insurance and age: don't get me started on this! get this - if i insure in Staten Island then i pay "only" $114; if i insure in Bklyn then $183

i'm 31 years young with a clean driving record but apparently Brooklyn is one of the most expensive cities to insure a car!

Yes, that is OTD price including everything.

According to my calculation while looking at the sale contract: MSRP $15,672.38 + $1,253.79(which is about 8% sales tax) = $16,926.17 plus other fees comes out to $17,100.00. I don't recall the exact tax rate in Riverside but that's what I paid at purchase.
