That is a pretty big waste. The Fit produces nice, complete combustion on 87. The Fit is strictly economy tuned. By moving up in octane all you are doing is slowing down combustion in the cylinder, expelling unburnt gas and overtaxing your catalytic converter.
94 is even overkill on a tuned STi, I don't see why you would put it in a Fit? Not enough smog in your neighborhood?

I Fill up mostly with Esso & PetroCan.

I Don't really like Shell ever since my moms car got royally screwed over a contaminated fuel tank at one of their stations.

I know this sounds silly because I don't have any justification for it.... but I feel dirty filling up on big box store fuel

Good- that leaves more gas for us who like the low prices.

Petro canada everytime, mostly because there is one 1100 meters from my driveway and 2 others both within 5 minutes.

Enjoy them while they last, here is a pretty interesting artical about how they are keeping the prices so low and the legal battles the service stations are now launching to combat them.

When I first got my car I used to put 76 all the time since it was only 5mins away from my house and Chevron is like 2miles away. But my friend told me Chevron was better for Honda so I started putting in Chevron. Since I moved to SJ theres a Chevron and 76 5mins way.

Where ever is the cheapest and moves a good volume of fuel (to make sure the tanks do not contain old gasoline or sediment).

It's all the same gasoline (except for detergents).

I've always used Exxon or Mobil in all of my cars, my first car was an old tempramental Volvo 740 Turbo that simply ran better on Exxon gas

I always did BP with previous cars, nicest gas station that was on may way home from work!

Since then I've moved and ALWAYS use Costco. Can't beat the price (well, at least compared to everywhere else...)!

3% rebate on my Costco AmEx card for gas! And around here, Costco gas is usually 20 cents less than name-brand stations.

The stock ones will be fine on any regular gas. Mine loves the cheap stuff and drags me to Costco. Does not matter if it needs gas or not. lol
99% of the time it's less and has never been an issue. In fact they seem to take good care of the pumps and gas pump filters. I know most that responded are not over in the Eco area so I guess I'd expect the name brand comments and need for higher octane.

My goal for me and my Fit is to get from point A to B for the least amount of money.

Have fun spending more. You'll never see a return on that investment.

i go to Chevron/Shell 95% of the time. The other 5% is if im super low on gas and i have no where else to go. Then i'll just use whatever is closest
