What you're looking at in this image is supposedly the first real photograph of the next generation Honda Jazz/Fit.



It was recently posted in a TOV forum thread by a TOV member who claims that despite the clear doctoring of the photo (the doctoring all appears to have been done in an effort to conceal the vehicle's location), it's the real deal. Apparently, official images will break on the 26th, when a raft of Japanese <nobr>car</nobr> mags will be hitting the shelves with photos (or at least accurate renderings) of the actual car.

I've noticed that the head lights will all be one color instead of body matched. Not sure if people will like that though.

 

i really dont think this looks as good as the current fit... First gen FTW!

 

I think only the North American Fits come with the color matched lights. All other markets have black painted lights, so I doubt they'd really care too much. It'd be interesting to see if they keep the body matched lights here in NA though.

I'm sorry but that thing is uglier than sin! And if I remember correctly the JDM head lights do match the body color but have crome rings around the actual lamps them self's. Its kinda hard for me to explain, just google fit JDM head lights. I'd post a link to a site I have booked marked but I'm not on my comp right now.

 

It is alot more work for them to have body color matching headlights. If it came just in black then it would be universal.

i dunno, i think this new model looks pretty sweet
the angular look of the car makes it look diff.. not as cute and bubbly a car as before..

its more so a revision rather than a whole new setup
i think this new one will do well

I agree with Renegade. That thing is UGLY. It looks like an easter egg -- either way, I hope they release it because then the one I have now will seem a whole lot better (besides that glass roof).

And its not the 08 Fit. The 08 Fit is on Honda's website and it is the same.

 

wow, i'm glad me and my wife got 07's. those things are hideous.

p.s. i have said that about alot of hondas right when they came out and then the look grew on me, so we'll see once they hit the roads.

 

Thats probably the JDM one...USDM will probably be elongated in the front...

yup it is the 2008 fit.. u guys will get it later thats all. its the 08 fit for japan, asia and the uk.

I like the fact it looks less outdated then our current Fit. But I don't like the fact than it looks more generic (like a Yaris). I think it'll definatly take some work from Mugen and other manufacturers to bring some style to this car. It doesn't like hot off the lot like our Fit Sport is.

If this is indeed what is coming, I do like the fact that it seems like a step forward. The other "new body style concepts" didn't seem like a step forward.
I love my MR and always will but that yellow looks fun.
