Mugen Vents and Door Sill Application ???
Mugen Vents and Door Sill Application ???
Ok I ordered my Mugen Window Visors and Mugen Door Sills - I do not trust myself to do the install - Called the guys that did my tint and they do mods to all kinds of cars plus they install window visors all the time for several local dealerships. Anything special I should tell them about doing the installs on these parts. They are doing me a favor and they said they can't guarantee the work since they are not the parts that they sell. Honda won't touch them since they are not certified Honda parts. Maybe the production of a Mugen Civic SI will change their thinking. LOL! So I just wanted to make sure if there is anything tricky about installing these pretty basic peel and stick parts that they should know before it is done.
I got a call from Ups today and they are delivering them on Wednesday. I am waiting for two more pieces ordered off e-bay Mugen shoulder straps and Mugen neck cushions and I'll be ready for the car show at the end of the month. Marc's car inspired me to go with the Mugen theme even though it is for appearance sake only.
Any help or advise you could send my way would be greatly appreciated

Cat, college hills honda has a video podcast of them installing visors on a few different honda models (not the fit) but the installation process is very similar for any visor that includes clips. The most important thing is that you prep the surface properly by cleaning it with alcohal and also that you remove only a little bit of the plastic covering the tape, and then you position the visor before removing the rest of the tape.

The main detail that might be missed in the Japanese instructions is that the visors must be mounted 2 mm below the top edge of the door frame. What would happen if this is not done? I don't know!
DIY : https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...ighlight=visor it's really easy. Door sills should be a piece of cake too because i think they just stick on.

Thanks for the info - printed a copy of the instructions which should help
the guys out. They install all kinds of visors for various dealerships so I
am hoping they will find this an easy application.

As my husband pointed out, after he drove around a corner at (what for me) was a terrifying speed, that he wasn't anywhere near the limits of my little beastie's current performance limits, and therefore any performance-related mods would be pointless, given the way I drive.
But I do want to get the Mugen door visors, and some of the other "appearance" things. I also wouldn't mind some cool gunmetal finish aftermarket rims.
I have sort of the same idea.

I would definitely be down for doing some hp mods but they would only get me into trouble. I love the feel of driving fast and hitting it hard when the road is open but I never go over the speed limit! LOL. I just love the pure sound of a smooth shifting tranny and the feel of the Fit as it grabs
and eats up the hardtop. I'll be having my parts installed on Tuedsay so I will post pictures - I can't wait to have the sills and visors installed. Then have two more items coming from e-bay with the Mugen theme. I am hoping to put the car in a small show on the 21st. Just thought it would be fun and I love talking about the Fit - I am planning on hitting it with a polish and wax on Sunday when it gets up to 74 because it will be cooler all next week. At least I will get it polished and wax so before the show a good hand wash should do the trick - Mcguires Quick Detailer for the show day and it should be all good. The rims would be sweet. This is it for my car until spring when I hope Uncle Sam will contribute to a new rims fund!
