Hello ladies and gents, im new

Not sure if this is the right area to post this, but il figure out the system as I go. I currently drive an 01 honda civic lx, and im looking to buy a honda fit brand new in blue sport 5MT but I have a few questions. The fit is slow...about as slow as my car if not worse. Whats the performance aftermarket like for them??

Also, what are any quality issues you guys have had? Mechanical problems? MPG? dealer service remarks, and any advice to buying my new fit are greatly apretaited. Also if you want post a picture of your car with your response so I can get some ideas for what is being done with these cars. Look forward to your replies

Here is my turd

Yes they are real HIDs, the full kit, not like the blue bulbs my VW buddy got cause they are "european" lol what a tool. Later gang!

hey welcome you can find all of the answers to your questions by using the search, also just surf around, there is a vendor marketplace where you can check out a lot of aftermarket parts for the fit, also there are many stickies that will help you with mpg, and other questions you might have.

The fit isn't that slow. There is tons of performance mods available, including upcoming release of bolt-on turbo kits and supercharger kits.

My main gripe with the car is the 109 horsepower number, but reading the forums for an hour or 2 I see there are some little tweaks that can be done to up that number. Besides, everyone that has driven the car tells me how much fun it is

Definitely has some twinks that will make it a tad faster however it can still do 0 to 60 in a very fast time! You'll leave them at the stop light thinking what the heck???? but they will catch up to you and pass you in time. The Fit is a great gas saver and that was my real reason for wanting the Fit plus the little extras on such an affordable car. Search out our great forum and you'll find the answers to any question you have about the Fit. I joined before I got my car and when I finally took it home I felt very informed thanks to the great Fit Freaks on this forum!

Well the thing with that is I might be replacing my transmission, clutch, and water pump and timing belt this week, as well as a valve adjustment, and if I spend 1000+ dollars on maintenance for the car, I wont want to sell it, especially because I wont get much (frame damage on the thing) so I dont know whats happening yet. If I end up keeping it Im just going to put the lip and wheels back on and ride in style...and get a muffler welded on too
