www.owners.honda.com

I just was surfing and went to www.owners.honda.com and logged in to see if there was anything new on the site and under recalls I found the following: Your 2007 Honda is included in the 07-08 FIT SRS WIRE HARNESS Campaign.

Has anyone gotten any notice of this from your dealership? I will plan to call service in the morning to see what this is all about. If there is anything wrong I definitely want Honda to repair it. Just thought all of us with 07 and 08 need to check the site out. It goes by your Vin number and is very useful. You can schedule service calls at your dealership and it has some nice information on the site. But thought I best give everybody a heads up on this one -

It's not for specific states. There is a map on the recall notice only to show you the most common states that it affects.

There is another topic on this though with the bulletins.

I called my dealership Monday and they did some checking so my Fit is included. They do not even have the parts to do the repair so they are ordering those. I have scheduled the appointment next Tuesday morning and it will take between one hour and three and a half. So will plan to drop off and pick up at the end of the day. They were really nice! The service guy remembered my car from putting on the accessories right after I purchased it. I told him the car had been Mugened and he said he can't wait to see what I've done with the car.

Will let you all know how that goes.

Ownerlink said my Fit was part of the recall as well... will probably have to wait until after Finals & Christmas if it takes 3 hours.

my 2007 black fit automatic is included in the recall. it says its based on your vin number so i guess its when and where the care was put together. Well at least its not for excessive lead in my toy!

Thanks for posting the explanation. I took mine in this past Tuesday and they had it repaired in no time. They had two base Fits on the lot (I was thinking they were Lunar Mist but realized seeing them again yesterday they are the new Tidewater - very pretty color. The service guy said they were curious about Fit Freaks and got on the internet to check it out. They did not realize how many Fit Freaks were on this forum and really thought it was a great site. They said they really liked the direction my car was going in and that was nice. I guess I am the only Fit owner who has added zing to their car! LOL. Mugen racing pedals next month!

Just wondering if you got any recall letter from your dealer or just called them for an appointment?

I went to www.owners.honda.com and this is a web site where you register your car and you can access all kinds of information as to what is happening with your particular model. I had gotten a letter from Honda right after I purchased my Fit asking me to sign up. It is a great site and it was there that I found out about the recall. From there I contacted the delearship and they checked on their site and confirmed that WV was one of the states included in the recall.

I recieved a recall notice today for my 07 Fit. It says that in areas that get snow and use road salt the drivers wet feet can cause a wire harness that controls the passenger air bags to malfunction. I am supposed to make an appointment to have my vehicle repaired and plan on leaving it for 1/2 day.

I had installed the winter floor mats because Honda didnt include any with the vehicle.

My Fit is also included in the recall (07 Sport - Milano Red). I haven't had any problems, but like paul, I too have winter floor mats. I haven't taken it in yet, but that's mostly because I haven't had time.

I also got the recall letter. I'm bringing it in this Saturday to the dealer. This is after they assured me that it was done before the sale. hmmm...

They fixed mine today

I had my fit in for an oil change today and they fixed 4 wires on my srs harness woo. Cool when they fix things that you don't have to tell them about.
