New Fit owner in IL

I have been a long time lurker, but I finally got entry into the Fit club by purchasing a 2008 Tidewater Blue Fit Sport MT this past Saturday.

I have about 64 miles on it so far. The parking lots are a lot more fun in the Fit! The handling is a blast.

The K&N filter was ordered yesterday, and I am considering both coil overs and some flat black 15X6.5 Rota Slipstreams.

I would like to try my new Fit in autox here in IL. Anyone have any knowledge on autox in the Chicago area?

congrats on your car. no idea on autocross, but if you're looking for wheels, check out my buddy Mark's shop one 6 motorsports / import and domestic tuning.

Arlington hts, IL they can mount tires on the spot and they usually
have several sets of wheels/tires there.

Welcome and congrads on your new Fit - I got to see a Tidewater Blue Fit in person and that color is so pretty especially at night. It just seems to reflect all the lights!

Man, you IL guys wanna do a quick meet? PM me and I'll see if there is interest or not. The parking garage at the Glen is perfect for a photoshoot and the cops don't seem to mind.

It is indeed, my parents moved to CT from Illinois/Indiana so all my family is all out in the midwest. I actually have an aunt who lives in Lake Forest. The rest of my dad's family lives in Kankakee/Bourbonais and St. Anne.

We frequent out there many times a year but I'm not too sure if my Fit will ever make it out there.
