friend drove my fit, bought her own
Awsome!...sneak FitFreaks into the conversation too...
In case for some weird inexplicable reason you forgot...
I mention that to the dealers when I or a friend purchase a car...It adds to the whole "give me a discount, I help sell your cars too" discussion.

i made the mistake of letting my sisters BF drive my fit ... hes been dying to try it.. he has a cavy.. i was stuck in the very roomy and comfortable back seat (props) as he drove around and around and around my street playing with the paddle shifters and all that it was funny to see how excited he got over my car plus my street is basically like a racetrack it has two levels with a grass strip in between and a tight turn up/down hill on either side and basicaly like a dead end so no traffic
i wont be surprised if he gets one too
viva el fit revolution!

I got my Fit in November of 06. Since then 3 of my friends got one (2 close friends) and my cousin wants one when she finishes school. My close friends got their Fits about 6-7months after I got mine. SSM Sport in 5speed and a TW Sport in 5speed. Kinda made me mad.
My mom also wants to get one when her tC falls apart. I dont want her to though.

She scraped her front bumper reversing out of a parking lot this morning, and she was totally besides herself, so I taxied her to at work while she calmed down. *cough*xx-gened driver*cough*.
Did notice that her base model didn't corner quiet as well as the sport model.
She's a new driver, so I told her to visit the bodyshop after ~2 months for a bumper fix and touch-up/respray. She scraped it up pretty well on an evil pole. I personally recommended acquiring a used vehicle for 6 months, but it's all on her dime, so...
She took lots of driving lessons, and I personally took her driving for 1-2 hours a week to gauge her progress. But I guess nobody mentioned parking lot skills... I didn't let her park or unpark my Fit, because I park my Fit next to my Z4.
One time at Starlite dance in Sunnyvale, I watched some lady carefully scrape all the way down the vehicle next to her... I was too far away to bring it to her attention though before she realized it.

Yah I guess I'm not on the loop on these meets on the forum.
The bumper is slightly dislodged on the passenger side, it needs a pro I think. She whacked it pretty well on that pole. She needs to slow the heck down in reverse, but she hasn't been listening so far. I guess this evening I should catch her, and force her to back up 6 inches, stop, check all 4 corners, and repeat until she's got the hang of it. That way it's not someone else's car instead of a pole next time...
Easy to forget after 17 years how much skill it takes to drive, until you try to teach a new driver!
