An idea....

sorry if this is in the wrong spot but... i had an idea i am more and more often seeing Fits in parking lots, and i got to thinking.... since they don't know about FitFreak.net is there something my self and all of here can do to inform them with out waiting around for them and seeming like a stalker.... what i thought of is if some one who is talented made an attractive flyer we could all print off and leave on any Fits we see in lots.... forgive me if its a dumb idea but i thought i'd put it out there... id much rather talk to potential Fitfreaks but i never seem to catch them around their cars... let me know what you all think and maybe we can get ore fitfreaks recruited...

Keep a small batch of sticky notes in your glove box. Write an invitation to visit fitfreak.net, and stick it on a window of the other car- maybe sign your alias.

We are all car enthusiasts here and sadly most of the general population does not share out passion and hobby.

Like mentioned above, if they wanted to be part of a car forum they would have already found a way to find us.

I think it'd be more appropriate to do this just at car shows and meets. Like above mentioned if they were as into their car as we are, they'd have found us already. But, for the info, you can get business card type packs with whatever info you want online for free, just pay the shipping charges, usually 4 or 5 bucks. You get like 200-300 of them - I got some done for my previous job a few years back.
Be careful with some of these companies though because they are scammers - you can do a google search to find the legit ones especially if you're savvy enough to work in these forums.

Although I've seen a couple modded fits - albeit not in the best taste - around me recently and I'm pretty certain these guys aren't on the forums. It'd be great to get them on and save our dear fit's image from the rice trend.

I was actually was thinking alot about this...

And I was going to print out some sheets with FitFreak.net on it with whatever little saying I already happen to write down. and I was either going to perforate it...or better yet just make a little pad where I can pull them out (paper clip ) ...thats probably what I will do... when I do...would anyone like to see it?

cause I hate folding and carefully tearing (I always forget to use the scissors on my swiss army credit card) up my small note pads...

I see classic minicooper enthusiasts driving... that have no idea of MOALA (Mini Owners of America Los Angeles) the club that I was apart of (and will probably rejoin when healed up)

I try not to leave notes when its damp and or raining outside...cuz then its a mess for the person to clean....
I most often leave it in a very visible part under their wipers...
but I sometimes hate it when advertisements are left there and you didnt see it until you were in your car...or if you thought you had a TICKET!!!

So instead of leaving those heavy cards stuck in the side window like advertisers do... as I have lost a few because the twit put them too far down and the slipped down when I was trying to take them out...
I would put a heavy crease/fold horizontally so it wont slide down. Or simply fold it over (if longer and thinner)

I also try not to touch their car and am careful of not setting off an alarm... I try my best to be respectful, polite, and inviting

I have debated putting on my screen name...but...I am a relatively private person...sorta....and if they didnt like it I dont want them signing up and docking my rep points or being pissed at me ...but It would be nice if they would give me a refferal point...mostly for personal satisfaction...

well, im am heavily involved with socalprelude.com
and at meets someone hands out business cards.

the front says socalprelude.com and when you flip it over, it says" you have been invited to socalprelude.com by _________ and you put your sn on it.

it really is a neat idea and it works. i usually stick it on the door handle because people tend to notice it more when they touch it.
