The tale of the illusive TW Fit of Eastern NC

Alright now i know everyone has been out driving atleast once in there life and seen an amazing vehicle, either driving or on the side of the road, that just makes you say "WOW thats nice". I know because i do it all the time but this time it was a special car. It was a TW fit on a flat bed dually hauler and it almost made me drive off the road when i yanked my head around to look at it. I only saw it for a few brief seconds but it was like one of those wierd movie love scenes where everything slows down. It was slammed as much as i have ever seen a fit dropped, white wheels, cf hood, and a huge exhaust tip that screamed, this thing has been tweaked, and a cf duck bill spoiler. In other words it wasnt all crazy modded out but it was very apparent that this car just came from the import shop up the road. I have been asking around to all of my other gear head friends and it has been seen a few times around here but it has always been on the truck which makes me wonder if its a motor swap or something crazy, either way its a sick fit and i know now that i have a responsibility (spelling) to track this guy down and show him the site and all us crazy car guys. haha.

I figured this was a great story and i had to share it with everyone. If anyone else has had a really cool rare run in with something special then by all means share with the rest of us. But for now i have a TW to find. lmao!!!

White on white wheels is so hot on the Fit so i know what you mean. CF hood and all, that Fit sounds like something that pretty much every FitFreak would STARE at. Track him down and demand him to come on here and post tons of pics lol!!!

Im going back down to Georgia in the morning for the weekend but when i get back im going to the import shop and see if they can give me any insite on what the TW is all about and maybe see if they can cough up a name for me. It wasnt there hauler though so he might be an out of towner. Either way i will get to the bottom of it and report back with my findings. haha. I feel like a private investigator or a stalker or something. I guess its all good if its a car though and not a person. It wont be as bad as the time i decided to track down the Enzo in Greensboro, NC though. lol. I will share that story some other time. LMAO!!!

lol, listening to you guys makes me afraid to make my car too nice. i have only seen 3 or 4 modified fits out there, even after all this time. but i kinda like it better this way. when i see one though, i try not to look too long because i don't want to become envious.

Alright Tyler just for you here is the Enzo story. haha. Now im a huge fan of Ferrari's so when i saw that Car and Driver did a story on one of the first in the states i of course bought the mag and did had some good reading time. It was a good write up but i was extremely surprised to read that it was from Greensboro which is only a couple hour drive from my house so i figured ah what the hell im gonna find it. There is a very exotic car dealer up there that does special orders and has a huge inventory of crazy exotics so i knew that is where it came from. I got all dressed up in my suit, got one of my very hot chick friends to wear a very skimmpy outfit and set off for the trip up there (yes she is a gear head too). On the way we ditched the Mark IV GTI that i had and got a Lexus loaner and continued up there(the GTI wouldnt have gotten me any info on it). We got up there and as soon as i pulled into the lot i saw a glimpse of it in the back (i didnt know it would be there i was just gonna work some info from one of the guys). I played the whole out of town roll and that i was interested in an exotic and went from there. I mentioned that i had inherited alot of money and was interested in a 360 but then kept going higher and higher until he said "hey we have an Enzo in the back if you want to see it". From there i knew it was on. He said it was a costumer car that was in Car and Driver and it just got a $750 dollar oil change. haha. He let me sit in it and look at it. That was good enough for me. I knew a test drive would be out of line so i took a couple pics and then said i had other business to attend to and left. The plan worked perfectly and i got to sit in it and put my finger prints all over it. haha. That was the best car sighting i have ever had. Even though it would have been a different situation if the owner would have shown up. Im sure he wouldnt appreciate a dirt bag like me finger F***ing his 1.5 million dollar car. LMAO!!!

Haha that is kick ass!
Man you actually got to SIT in an enzo, i bet ill never even see one in real life but to sit in one! I would try not to piss myself lol. But you did all the necassary things to have a decent shot at seeing it. You got the hot girl, rented a lexus, dressed in a suit. All those things totally helped you. If you didnt do those things they would probaly kick you out of the joint.
Theres a place right down the road from me that sounds similar to the place you went to. Every brand of exotic new and used. Ive seen countless Lamobos, Ferraris, Porsches parked right outside and i always try to park next to them so i can check them out kinda under the radar so they dont come out and yell at me. Ive been to scared to go in the place though. Ive seen some rich looking dudes go in there and they were sitting in a new F430!!! I would love to do that but at my age i think they would kick me out. I may try what you did though, dress up and all so i have a decent shot at getting in the door!
Thanks for hooking me up with that story bro!

Haha. No problem Tyler. Yea it was totaly worth it. I knew that it would take the full roll to get any info i just got lucky and the car was there. Haha. Last time i went to San Diego i tried the same thing with one of my buddies with a Veyron but we didnt even get near it. It was in the way back of the place in the fenced in area and it was surrounded by other cars and they put a cover over it when we saw it. They were trying to hide it from us. haha. It doesnt always work but sometimes you get lucky. I sat in a F430 that trip and a Mercedes Mclaren SLR so it wasnt a wasted trip. Good luck on your try. Just remember dont go after the crazy insane exotics first. Let the sales guy talk you into them. LMAO!!!

hey sry to one up you... but your enzo story inspired me to share.... I actualy got a ride in an enzo.... my dad has a rich ass cousin out in AZ who had an enzo (untill he sold it for a profit) but omg was it amazing, aside from being scared to freakin move (hey it costs more than I will ever see in my bank account) but it was the highlight of my car life... unfortunatly i did not get to sit behind the wheel, but being in the passenger seat was just wow... lol

That sounds a lot like the Kraftwerks supercharged Fit (TW, dropped, cf duck bill, cf hood), except it has gunmetal/silver 9-spoke rims, unless they've changed them since. By chance did it have cleared (altezza-ish) LED taillights?

i couldnt tell you honestly. it was on a flat bed truck going the opposite way on the highway. when i yanked around to chase it down it was too late and traffic was terrible so there was no way i could have caught it.

Every time I leave the house, I have at least one camera, and preferably two, with a long lens and a wide lens. My wife asked my why I do that.
Of course I told her "ya never know when you're gonna see a unicorn"!

the story about the Ferrari is a classic. i used to live in greensboro,nc....actually im thinking about moving back, but one thing thats holding me back is the fit freak life over there. doesn't seem so big.

but on that note, woosh yeah when i got to sit in my old boss's Lamborghini Gallardo. that was a dream. then i got to also sit in his lotus exige s, that was really uncomfortable, but i it was tempting to ask if i could drive it, but i think he would have said no. and lastly the only car he has left now, is the 911 turbo.
those are the only exotic cars i have really been near and i have gotten to sit in them. it was definitely an experience i would say.

you used to live in greensboro? that place is pretty sweet. there are alot of fits in the area just none that care about forums, meets, and mods. haha. they are the turn key drivers. get in, turn key, and drive. thats all they want and thats all they get. if you ever move back let me know cause as of now im the only one in eastern, NC that actually talks on here.

oh yea and the lotus' are sweet cars. i always wanted an elise to dink around in but they are pretty harsh to drive on regular roads. haha. really really stiff. i wants one though.
