Tint Ticket
Just got my first tint ticket today in Queens, New York. Cops said I have 35% up front and 20% rear...which is pretty much right, but still the guy gave me two summons for both front and back. Obviously had nothing better to do at 7AM!

damn, cops in your area have nothing better to do than pull you over for stupid stuff like that? i'm rocking 20% tint here on the west coast and nothing has happened yet. Hopefully it stays that way too

just a heads up:
if the law is at 35 %, and you buy 35 film, once its on the glass- its really like 32%, the glass will drop it a few, so tech. if you buy 35 which is legal, as soon as you use it they can ticket you legally too...

anywho nice of you to report it...
maybe peeps will rock the tint a bit less hardcore like so the rest of
us feel safer judging if the other person sees us or not.
you dont have to post this (pm instead if you like)...but I was wondering how much a ticket like that costs? (probably way diff here in Cali though)

Cop might have just been an ass or had a bad doughnut day. I have a hard time believing that they would crack down on just window tints. Talk about a waste of resources and tax dollars. Now if you were speeding and they gave you the additional ticket for the tinted windows, thats one thing, but if pulled you over just for that....jeez...what a turd. 
Then again what the hell am I talking about I got profiled driving around in my NSX once, cop had nothing on me but decided I didn't look like I should own an NSX or something. Some of you folks have seen me at the meets. Im not THAT scarey looking lol.
Gave me the whole how long have you had this car 20 questions deal then let me go when he realized he had nothing.

Having a good laugh because:
1. You knew it was illegal but you did it anyway and are going to have to pay for it. If you're going to break the law, perhaps you should do it in a less obvious way.
2. You obviously have no class as you refer to people who put their lives in danger to protect the rest of us as "pigs".
If they're pigs, I really wonder what that makes you....

1. tints look great on any car, and by less obvious you mean drive with your fog lights on? (jk and just for that one i want you to know i have independent fogs so they can be on all the time when i drive)
2. you have no class, and dont deserve to have a fit or be on this forum if all you do is bash people for no reason
3 and if "they're" pigs, that makes you corn mush

As for OP, tickets suck but legality is legality. Best of luck getting out of the ticket
