u.s. dealers are in the dark. one told me generation II. may arrive as late as spring 2009. another dealer assumed it would arrive in october 2008.

is it likely honda hasnt decided yet?

I bet late 08. When the regular 09's for all cars start to come.

Yeah Honda has been trying to time their releases closer to the actual year, so I'd expect new 09 Fit MkII's to be in NA by late 08 (November or so).

You will find Honda will release newly designed models around end of Sept into October. Just look at the new Accord...that was released on Sept 24th. (In Canada) The 8th gen Civics came out in the fall of 2005.

Going way back...my 'newly' redesigned 1997 Prelude came out in Oct of 1996.

 

This is very true we often see cars way, way before they are out.
And goooogoobs of preproduction and concepts riding around. Some with
"covert" panels and some just go under the radar so to speak.
sometimes just around town but mostly close to the beach and around the
honda building.
and not just of Hondas either...
