Fit Sightings!!!!!
My car isn't modded at all, mostly because I'm lazy and poor, lol. But I haven't seen many modded Fits beyond tint and visors.
Last year, when I got the car, Fit owners were more enthusiastic about the car; I'd get waves and stares and such. Now, none of them care because they're getting common around here; there's two of them in my neighborhood besides mine! I always want to stand outside their cars for a bit and bore them with my Fit love, but I never see the owners, lol.
If any PA/NJ Fit Freaks see a VBP with a "Temple Alumni" window decal and a press sticker, feel free to wave
Doesn't it really piss you off when you see another Fit the same color as yours? I have a blaze orange metallic Fit and it was one of the ''rare colors'' when I bought it. Now I see 'em all over the place. At least I know that mine was the first. Wasn't it? C'mon, work with me here people.
For a long time I never saw another NHBP fit... I felt really cool. Actually for the first 6 months, I saw maybe 3 other fits on the road total... then they exploded and now I see them everywhere.
It took over a year for me to see another NHBP Sport with the Sport grill... but I finally saw one and was really dissapointed. It was really fun driving this car when noone knew about it. People would come up and ask me about the car... other Fit drivers would honk and wave... now nobody cares

Blue Fit Sport Sighting - Dallas (Allen) Today (Sun 3/2)
Anyone from FitFreak? Saw a blue Fit Sport with tint (only mod I noticed), with 2 people cruising north bound in the left lane of 75/Central through Plano & Allen doing around 80mph or so today (Sunday 3/2).
old people in Fits
Hi there. As a once-young (now 49) owner of a Fit, I can assure you that even some of us with one foot in the grave still love our Fits -- even if it's just a humble 5-spd Tidewater Base model such as mine. (I appreciate the modded Fits and like the looks of the Sport model, but it's just not for me, personally - I like the clean, understated lines of the Base, and have never wanted a car that honks at me when I lock it up!)
My wife (who's my age but much better preserved) and I are absolutely in love with our Fit (she sometimes catches me going out at night, just to look at it, and I caught her doing the same thing too). We're happy to wave at others we see and spread Fit cheer around. And do see a few more around coastal N. Florida, though a week can go by without seeing another one.
Anyway, I guess I'm saying you can love Fits even if you're not 21 and driving a modded Fit. We may not be "enthusiasts," but we sure are enthusiastic. All those old people out there bought their Fits for a reason -- probably because they like the looks, the reliabilty, the mileage (I'm getting 37.5) and, believe it or not, the fun of driving it.
Thanks, by the way, for all the informative/entertaining postings here. I've been lurking for a while.

I saw a Fit in the place i least expected...well i guess it would be considered a Jazz. I was watching the news and the whole thing about the Thailand airports being shut down and a 1st gen fit/jazz drives by. I claim fist international sighting while still being at home.
I think there is only three members here on Fitfreak.net that lives in Norway. And we dont even live in the same area of this long country, so I dont think I ever going to see a fellow Fitfreak.net member driving around in his Jazz...
But in January the new Jazz (GE08) is coming to the town, I hope to test drive one then. It will probably be easyer to get a GE08 than the GD1 say the local dealer as they already has got a big production numbers dedicated for this country. I will sure tell every new Jazz owner I meet about the Fitfreak.net site

I see a lot more fits now, usually one a day but I still have not seen a modded one around here. There is rumors that there is two other fits that are modded running around town but I have yet seen them. I did though have a chance meeting with a fellow Fit freak at a local get together that I went to on a whim, he had a 09
I parked next to a Blue GD3 Sport MT. The license plate was personalized and said "Fitisgo." I thought that was pretty cute. I chatted with the couple for a few minutes when they came out of the store and they checked out my new Fit

Raouf, next time I see somebody creepily taking a pic of my fit in the Short Pump parking lot i'll know who it is!
I just got a red 09 Fit Sport MT two weeks ago. I'm sure you'll see it around town eventually. Its got a VCU Engineering sticker on the rear window.
Like you I didnt begin noticing Fits around town untill I got my own. My girlfiend is getting anoyed that I have to point each one out everytime we drive anywhere. So far in my neighberhood (Museum District) I have spotted the following:
2ND GEN:
2x Red (not including mine)
1x Blue
1x Orange (parks on my block)
1x Silver
1ST GEN:
2x Blue
1x Red
