Given the strong demand for the new Fit in Japan, I think Honda will either delay sales until mid-summer 2008 for the USA market or (here's hoping!) that Honda will announce at the New York Auto Show that the new Fit will become the first model car to be assembled at Honda's new Greensburg, IN assembly line that will come online late this summer.

 

exactly. this thing needs to be seen in person... particularly because the current fit looks a lot different in person vs. photos. the "tallness" of the current fit doesnt show up in pics.

 

Sorry, but the Civic is the model that will be built in Greensburg, not the Fit, at least for the time being. That's a done deal. The Fit may well be built there in the future, but not when Greensburg first goes online.

 

I notice in one picture of the dash that there is a KPL gauge in the speedo head. Also the rear headrests are tucked down out of the rear line of sight.

One thing, what is that prominant gauge? near the console? Reads something like-**** Auto and 25. A temp reading?

Correct. In that photo, the AC is set to 25 degrees C.
