Honda Fit featured in WV Auto Ad

Opened up the Sunday Charleston Gazette paper and looked through the ads (a friend is looking for work so thought I would scan what was listed) and was shocked to see the Honda Fit on almost a full page ad. The ad was placed by the WV Automobile Association and the head line reads: Nimble Fit a fun-to-drive bargain hatchback from Honda. It has the features listed, engine info, pricing for base and Sport. It has a nice photograph of a Tidewater Sport and a shot from the back hatch showing the magic seats down. It has a short review from Edmunds, Car and Driver and then list the local Honda dealerships to contact. Well, I had to send them out a e-mail thanking them for doing the write up and letting people know about this great little car. The local dealerships just do not advertise the Fit at all in the paper - I know they are hard to find, they don't get a lot in and of course they don't make much commission from the sales so maybe this is why they don't take out ads for it. I did tell the WV Auto that during the car show the Honda Fit was the only car that was locked, windows up and people were not allowed to sit down and try it out. They did not even have the hatch up showing off the magic seats. I thought it was strange that I could sit in a $30,000.00 car but not sit in the Honda Fit - several people tried to open the doors and found them locked. Why? Somebody had to have a key to the car to drive it into the Civic Center so what was the purpose of having it locked up!

I'm a dumbass

Hey Cat,
You know how we get accustomed to reading things one way in our minds, and then find out they aren't as we thought?
I read your post and kept waiting for you to say something about what Volkswagen was saying about the Fit.
I have known you lived in West Virginia for a long while. West Virginia is one of my favorite places, and I used to go there every October to BASE jump from the New River Gorge Bridge.
Still, I read your post as "Honda Fit Featured in VW Auto ad".

I am aware of my dumbassedness, and embrace it.

Steeldog - you crack me up! I thought maybe I had typed VW instead of WV - I typed it up in a hurry as we were waiting for a relative to come and visit so I was cleaning up the house and trying to type in between. That was a good one!

Do you know what an agnostic, dyslexic insomniac does?

Stays awake all night wondering whether or not there's a dog.
