Wow i pay x3 that price and I'm 18 too...plus i have Sate farm, and the reason why i pay so high (according to them) b/c the fit is brand new to the market and parts is harder to get plus they rise my rate b/c i drive too much...

I also think that I'm paying high insurance for the Fit, 600+(haven't got the final price just for the fit because I have 2 cars insured) every six months with good driving record and I'm under Geico. The insurance of an Xb is lower than my fit.

Try getting free online quote through Geico. That is way too high, all your money goes to your car. Not worth it.

I was with Progressive before. I got my Fit a month ago, and I just recently got my policy renewal, which factors in a claim from last November. Progressive wanted me to pay $167/month!!! Screw that!!!

I went and quoted with State Farm, and they were able to get me in for $113/month, and with more liability coverage than I had with Progressive! I firmly believe I'm getting a good deal. This is for $50k/$100k liability with $500 deductibles. And yes, State Farm knows about the filed claim.

I'm 26 years old and with 2 family members that work in the insurance business, they know I will be getting a better deal with State Farm. Once my policy is finalized with SF, I will tell Progressive to take their policy and cram it!

FYI, I bought the Fit because of the accident. Best to have a car with ABS!

I currently pay close to $1000/6mo, without comprehensive (which would have made it over $2000/6mo). The car won't be covered if anything happens, but I'm not about to pay $4000/yr for an $18k car. I used to pay $650/6mo with my old car. Don't know why it's so much more other than the fact that it's a new car (and they expect me to drive more) vs old car (that won't go very far).

I'm also in Brooklyn, NY which I heard somewhere that we have one of the higher insurance rates in the US.

nope- online quotes are just that quotes- they dont take into account the almost thousands (well not that many) variables, such as credit score and driving history
so usally the quote will change up (maybe down) when you actually BUY the policy

I'm paying $160 a month, with Geico, which was the cheapest I could find. I want to switch to something better, I'm cost minded, but I also don't want to have to go to a Geico center if I ever make a claim, I'd rather take it to a dealership

wtf. i'm 26 with a clean record. i'm paying like $970/6 months. stupid AAA. time for something else. the money i'd be saving by switching to a cheaper insurance could be going into modifications.

damn this is what i have to look forward to if i get a fit. im about to be 25 shouldn't my rate go down and not up? me and my dad pay about 1200/yr for 3 cars. i would pay these rates if my insurance covered modifications like ezekielwhore got his rims covered.
