income tax return

Just realized that my tax return is coming in on Friday. I am going to clear my credit card, so I can use it to make my down payment bigger on my FIT. Wondering what others are doing with it? Debt, Fit stuff, or something else?

a prosthetic testicle. With lowering springs for better ride height and control.

I have no idea what the Treasury plans on doing with money I owed them.

Maybe it will help them to pay for stuff for their Fits... haahaa

Ditto. I had to pay!

Waiting to see how much my "stimulus" check this coming May is going to be. My wallet needs to be stimulated!

But if you have to know, its pretty much spent already. NSX is due for timing belt service, as well as new headers. buh bye $$$

Maybe next month when my Fit turns 1 year old, I'll finally buy it a mod, maybe the Mugen window visor thing...or maybe a drop in filter.

Using a credit card for down payment on a car is one of the worst things you can do! Interest rate will make you regret it very soon!
Pay off the credit card, do some research about credit unions in your area and join one ASAP! You can get financing through them for little, or no down payment whatsoever! On top of that, when you show up at Honda with financing in place they will ask your permission to try to beat the rate you got at a credit union. Now that is a win-win situation.
I was with Uncle Credit Union for a while, but switched to Patelco since they offered me much better terms. I ended up getting their credit card with a much lower interest rate as well and paid off other cards much faster.
We financed both cars at $0 down through Patelco, but ended up with Honda Financial with the second car since Honda twisted my arm to let them try to beat Patelco's rate.

wife and i over paid from our paychecks so we are expecting a fairly
large sum of money back. we're thinking about breaking it up into
3. (wife, me, "home")

since i bought my FitS cash, im going to put my share back in the void,
and will let the wife do wat she wants with her share. she's into
j-comic books so she's probably going to buy a lot of books.

seriously, DON'T put a down payment on a credit card. why not just have a little bit smaller down payment with your tax refund and that way, it's all paid for, so you're not paying interest on your dp AND financing your car? i would think at that if you actually did that, you may as well not even bother with a dp.

(sorry to rant, i just paid off one of my credit cards w/ my tax refund so i'm very bitter with credit card companies right now and don't want them seeing any more funds than they have to)

Giving a grand to the wife, then going to upgrade to a Canon 40D DSLR and maybe do coilovers depending on what's left. If coilovers aren't gonna happen, then maybe I'll finish my exhaust off w/ the j's headers and call it a day. Stimulus check gets divided up w/ wife and baby, so maybe finish off my interior.

chikubi- i strongly suggest you wait for the EnduraTechs to come in.
especially with the baby. i have 2 little kids myself and my older one
who's 3 use to kinda comment how bumpy the DF210's were... put
the coilovers on, he's like 'daddy, car feels good!' im like 'you bet!'

he could tell in an instant.

Some of mine when to buying parts for the Fit, some of it is still sitting in my account, and some of it I used to pay off a credit card I've been paying down.

My only credit card is from Navy Federal Credit Union, who has been very good to me and the interest rate is low. My return was little over 600, and I owe a little over 600, works out great! And I hate being in debt...

I'm trying to save 1800 in the next couple months by moving in with my parents(no paying for rent, utilities,or food), and going to try and sell the truck, and a piano and get a total of 3 grand. I was kinda on the fence on using the card, but I want my monthly payments no more than $300 (insurance is going to jump from 60ish to 143). A 08 sport MT is going to run 16,200 ish and I only wanted to borrow 13 grand.

Plus, I am moving out of state after I buy the Fit. Unless I cannot sell the truck and piano. Then I'm getting the fit after I move. Maybe I should sell my soul for the fit...
