Red face I was happy...

... with my stock '08 Fit Sport, until I saw all the mods that people have been making to their cars.

Now I want to start modding mine! I think I'm going to start slow... maybe start with lowering the car a bit, and adding a cold air intake, and go from there.

I know that feeling. Happend with me with all my cars. On my last car, I didn't plan on modding it at all. That lasted me almost a month. I also plan on starting slow with this car, but I have a feeling that I will be going back to my old ways lol.

Oh, I know its not an Evo...

I think my first mod will be some new springs to lower the ride and get rid of some of the body roll. I don't want to go too low and scrape everywhere.

Would the Skunk2 springs do what I want?

(Sorry, I'm a newb to all this. This is my first import...)

Yeah good idea. Lowering it is a great way to start off the mods, good for looks and performance.

Yea! I've got Skunk2's and they are great. Highway driving feels like stock...going over bumps is a noticable difference though.
Anyway the only mods I've done to mine are suspension.

Front + rear strut bars
Rear sway bar(front bar pending, till i find a good one)
skunk2 springs

Do you bottom out on bumps? Or does it just feel like a 'harder' bump?

Bottoming out

I had t1r s-coils a year ago on my other fit and i bottomed out on the highway so i promptly removed them which stung as the guy charged me 250$ to put them off and nother to take to them off.

Thanks to fitfreak.net, i think about car mods every day like it's an addiction, so thanks guys

I've never bottomed out on so-cal's highways on my skunks, but the ride is definitely stiffer than stock. Takes some getting used to, but I've grown to like it. Corners are fun now =)

I have to stop modding, I've put a lot into the car already I think I need to stop now though. Just going to install the few parts I have left.

Surprisingly I've never bottomed out(NYC roads)
when you drive over bumps its a little harder, stiffer whatever you wanna call it. But I also left the stock wheels and tires on so that helps a lot with the roughness. If you upgrade your wheels to a larger size and smaller tire then it will be harder.

yeah...modding a car is addicting. ive sacrificed eating top ramen for a whole week a couple of times to save money to buy some parts. i even walked to work for 2 weeks to save gas money. i wont go out,....shit man

its worst then drugs. i consider it my drug. it calms me down knowing i made my car look nice.

I'm planning on leaving the stock wheels on there (for now ), so your info helps me out. Been considering either the Skunk2 or the Progress...

Now to go speak to the 'finance manager' (wife)
