Calling any Fits rolling white rims.....

Well Bush wants us to stimulate the economy and I want to do my part by putting new rins on my MR Fit. I fell madly in love with Illusives Mugen rims but there is no way I can justify spending that much on rims. That said since I have decided to leave the headlights as they are and that kinda of gets me not feeling the black rims. I really do think that the white rims on the MR would look the best. So any of you that are running white rims please post me what kind you are using and let me know how you like them. Posting pictures would be helpful. I would like to get something that will allow me to continue to use the stock tires and brakes.

Thanks for your help!

Cat :x

Go check out Mx6GT89's photo thread, he is MR on White wheels.
My next set(which is coming soon)will be white. So this thread will be useful for me as well. My local buddy Ivan(Ciburri)has a MR on white OZs and it looks clean! It will look sharp Cat, i say go for it!

Cat,
I am devoted OZ Racing fan and those wheels are on my short list!
FYI, they are a bit on a heavy side and be aware that white is hard to keep clean even if it is a "flat" faced wheel. Multi spoke like this one is an absolute pain to keep clean. Brake dust is tacky and soapy water alone is not enough to clean it. It will take some scrubbing, weekly waxing, love and tenderness! LOL!
You can use electric drill attachment with a "ball" available in any car parts store to get in between spokes, but the more spokes - the longer it will take. Painted wheels require just as much if not more care than your car's paint because of brake dust!
My OZ were powder coated in '93 and on my CRX ever since until I tried them on my Fit. I hate cleaning them all the time. Even more so since I painted my OEM Fit wheels black. They look good even totally dirty and require zero weekly maintenance, but I do wash and wax them from time to time.
Image Shack is refusing to upload pics, but here is the link from the last shoot Tyler(TOOL) and I did not so long ago.
Picasa Web Albums - Ciburri - Tool & Ciburr...

Also keep in mind that you can take ANY wheel you like the design of and have it sand blasted and powder coated. Those OZ from Tire Rack are not cheap. Over $250/ea if I am not mistaken. You can buy Rota's for $300-350/set and have them done locally for $200 in white. Less spokes - less headache!

Dont you dare do ITR's. If you do, Ill HAVE to change mine. Unless I kill your first.
I dont think you handle the rubbing.

As I said Cat, try and go for those O.Z. wheels. Either offset will work great for you, you can still run the OEM tires and theyre really nice.

I have never considered a set of white rims for my cars. I will say whit rims on a red car have been known to look pretty good, but i still would never consider it on one of my own cars.

Different taste i guess.
