i read the last issue of siphon and i am very sad that they are not going with it....

I was afraid this was going to happen. Siphon is a child of Honda Tuning and they had a huge staff change recently. Then it seemed this issue of Siphon was so late in getting out and the fact that they would never open up subscriptions to the public. Darn! One of the best mags on the stand that really showcased our cars. We will miss ya Siphon - too bad someone else could not run with the format.

It was by far my fav. tuner mag. of all time. Im still on the hunt for that last issue, but ive kept all of them in mint condtion so i can look back on them lol.

if it were easier to find a SIPHON mag they could've had a longer shelf life...

how about a FitFreak mag? user rides + user journalists + user graphic designers + user editors + free online subscription + paid ad space for vendors = happy Fit Freaks and paid journalists, editors and designers

Siphon was more Import Tuner's baby than Honda Tuning but they're all under the same umbrella...Primedia. *ugh*

That said, the mag's ending because the readership just isn't there. Not really our fault. If people can't find your magazine, they can't buy it. Primedia had them f'd over from the start.

Lmao they need to get rid of that TRACTION magazine, that one is stupid as hell. "For people that have grown out of the tuner scene but want the best things in life" or something like that.

 

I picked it up once. Put it down immediately. That magazine blows. lol

And I have been driving around to like 5 bookstores a day looking for it. I was kind of obsessed with finding it. Oh well. Ditto on the TRACTION mag-- totally f-ing stupid. Kind of embarrassed for people who actually read that mag.

I have that last issue (w/ JDMChris' Kraftwerks car)-- had number 4, but left it in a hotel room long ago. Damn.
