Hello all. I got my 08 a few weeks ago, and am still driving with the 30 day tag. I'm a little scared thinking about when I will have to register/title it. How much did you all pay? I've always had old, junky cars, this is my first new car and I'm afraid of the dent it's going to put in my wallet to have it registered.

I live in Kansas, anyone else titled a new Fit in this area?

Oddly enough, the insurance (full coverage) was only $20/month more than what I've been paying for liability on an 88 Econoline conversion van.

Comments, advice would be greatly appreciated.

I just paid my title and it was 140ish here in CA.

 

well, that's encouraging.

 

I paid $1,500 for my 2008, a little over $1,000 of that was for sales tax.

So i paid between $400-500 for title and other fees here in Nebraska.

 

i know it's a crazy idea but you could call the kansas division of motor vehicles.
