After 3 weeks

I got the call to pick up my Silver Fit Sport at the dealership tonight. 3 full weeks of waiting for them to get a Fit in. Total is $16700 + 144 for floor mats. Tax will be about $1800 above that. Loan will be 4.99% for 60 months at about $320 a month (no money down).

Congrats on the new FiT, I know what you mean about the wait, it took 2 1/2 weeks to get mine but it was well worth it.

Congrats. 3 weeks may seem long to you, but there have been a lot of folks who've held out for quite a bit longer. You got yours pretty fast. Although I'm sure it didn't seem that way. lol

Congrats on your new Fit. Lots to learn on here to make it a fun car.

I can't help but mention the wide difference in ability to purchase a new Fit. I have no idea the undisclosed area you live, but in my area the day I decided it was time. I went down to the dealer that had two Sports on the lot. A Black Auto and Black MT. Drove them both, decided on the MT and told him I was willing to pay $16,700 out the door (that included the 6.5% tax and all the BS fees to the State) and I wanted the Blue Pearl one. 30min later they told me I had a deal and the car would be prepped and ready the next day. Came to pick it up the next day and they had Pin striped it and installed Honda Fit Mats and gave me a coupon book with among other stuff the 1st oil change for free. May not have been the best deal but I went away pleased as I received just what I asked for plus some extras

Ya, I actually made the purchase at a bad time. I was able to walk in the first and test drive one. They had 2 fit sport auto's in at the time. A week later when I was ready to buy those had sold and I guess they were totally out in the entire area until this shipment.

I’m used to waiting. I waited 3 months for my IS350 to come in 2 years ago (which was common for the car back then due to demand)

I waited a good 2 years for the S2000 to come in! I bought one of the first ones off the boat in the USA and it cost me dearly to do it.

Half are my wife’s cars. We are on what I like to think is a 2-3 year swap rate. Has more to do with the huge ramp up of my income as I have grown older (which has tripled in the past 8 years alone) as you'll notice by the msrp of the cars. I’m also a car enthusiast (as my cars) and like to have nice cars that fit perfectly with my life and not bankrupt me. aka, you saw the end of my 2 seat sports cars in 2001 because I had my first kid in 2000 and second in 2003. Then I moved to larger SUV's and powerful 4 door sedans.

The Fit is my attempt to get out of the rat race of new cars which I have grown tired of. m also trying to go green and looking out for myself a bit better financially (saving $500 a month that can go into my beer fund now)

Ya, I took a ton of pics knowing that this was the cleanest it will ever be, especially in the North West. I also bought Silver to hide that future dirt

Good old slick Dick Hannah. I bought my Acura TL from Tonken back in the day. I knew their sales manager from the old days and he gave me a good deal!

Ill probably look at the center console and tinted windows within the next few weeks for sure but no perf mods.

In a year or so Ill probably get myself something like a 911 as my garage car so I'll save my mulla for now. Totally depending on where gas prices are in a year.
