You need to do that. The calculation is simple but you can go to TireRack's specs and find the exact revs per mile difference.
The calc is section width xtwice the profile in 100th result divided by 25.4 and added to wheel diameter. Example for 195/55x15 tire:

{(195x1.1)/25.4}} + 15 = 23.44" which is spec but may not be exactly a given tire. Molding is not exact.

I checked the tire specs, 2% difference, not the 6-8% I'm seeing in real life either with the odo or with the gps. I'm going to calibrate with my gps and figure out what the fudge factor is.
