Does anyone recommend a really good security system and wheel locks? Insurance is taking care of everything. I'm getting brand new wheels from the dealership and they are taking it to a collision center to have the underbody looked at for damage.

Thieves like that, if caught, should be publicly humiliated. I like the idea of bringing back the stocks -- you know, the wooden restraint that you have to stick your head and hands through, and then people can laugh and pelt your asinine head with rotten eggs and fruit.

whoa man - that really sucks. definitely get a set of wheel locks... factory option should suffice; there are plenty out there aftermarket, too (T1R, Mugen). I've had my new Fit a little more than a week, but I had a set of T1R lock lugs waiting.

Glad to hear your insurance is taking care of you, and the dealership is cooperative.

I can't get over how many douches are out there - steeling parts from our $16k cars. Is it really that bad?

The suggestions of wheel locks could be a bad thing. Ive been told this by a few people. Adding wheel locks could piss the thieves off and have them beat your car with whatever tools they have as pay back.

Youre probably better off letting them have the wheels.
Side note, I have wheel locks. Hahha!

Sorry about your wheels. At least theres no damage at all.
IDK why people want the Fit OEM's? Theyre heavy and have stupid offset.
I mean, they look good but come on!

BTW, if insurnace cuts you a check, get aftermarkets. The thieves shouldnt take those. They only go for OEMs and Rotas. *shrugs*

And this is why I only drive back and forth to work. I will not park it in the Ghetto where my friend lives. My friends all look at me like i'm crazy not to take my fit down there. lol.

im sorry for this, but i wish someone steals my oem sport wheels. I tried painting them, didnt like them, added paint remover and i just have a piece of round metal with a tire around it. Wish insurance could give me off some money for some 16''s..
but, good luck to you man, i second that advice on gorilla locks. I think i read somewhere that the locking key that one set has is unique and theres not another one similar like it in the world.

This is why in one of the topic I made, I mentioned that "I don't like the factory alarm. It suck! Not sensitive at all. I would recommend getting CrimeStopper alarm, that's the alarm that I used to have in my accord. If they move your car or try to jack it up. That thing will go off. Search it on ebay, there are different types of CrimeStopper. Pick one that suites you the best. I'm sorry for your misfortune

Damn that really blows. This is why I always put an alarm on any vehicle I get, mine is going in to get it installed on Saturday. Dealer also threw in locking lugs for nothing so that was kinda cool. I've used Gorilla lugs on my last 3 vehicles, so I definitely recommend those. Any decent alarm with have a sensor that knows when a vehicle is being jacked up, so just go to some local alarm shops.
