now that I think about it, Louisiana really doesn't have a lot of SSM Fits. At least where I live. All I see is the BOM, NHBP and TWM.

With the Fit not having any protection on the side panels - park on the back 40 and away from everyone. I've been doing that for one year and still have not gotten a dent or ding. I grouped with a Jetta and Volvo at work so we all park to protect each others paint. So far it works but just have to make sure we get their a little early for the good spot.

Good luck on your car - the 2009 are going to be faster cars but the body will be just a little different - still a great car though.

I'm just going to say this. NHBP is one of the greatest colors every because.....

if you ever decide to paint it, you don't have to worry about pulling the headlights apart.

but ssm is good. looks clean all the time

I talked to the local dealership today and it looks like VBP and NHBP are gonna be on their lot soon as a couple of base AT's. Prolly gonna look into one of those.

SSM fades into the haze, fog, background, and isn't seen as well by other drivers (at least in my opinion). I wanted the red, and got it -- no other color that was offered really appealed to me. Red brings out the sports car side of the Fit's "personality." My second choice would have been yellow (if it could be gotten in the US, which of course it can't) and then white (also unavailable south of Canada).

A friend of mine has the Grape Kool-Ade, I mean BBP, and the car is really hard to keep looking good because it shows dirt amazingly.

Does anybody know what colors will be available here for the '09s? BTW, Honda ought to figure on sending North America a bunch of units next year, because they will definitely sell!

I don't know why Honda never keeps the lots with plenty of fits. They are cheaper than dirt. I figure once the US really gets use to have the Fit name around they will sell better, right now the civics and accords are what we are used to and will automatically sell well.

I never really thought about the SSM being hard to see, its a really good point though.
