well i needed a car this summer, couldnt wait till fall because of my family's packed schedules, ill be getting an 08 tw fit instead. In my opinion the 09 is just kinda ugly, the front looks all squished and the side view makes it look like a mazda 5 or a small minivan blech! So no 09, im very happy with the 08 design

I am hopefully getting one when they come out, there's a lot of reasons behind it but I am thinking about it seriously. I am going to have to see how it drives obviously but all in all I think For me it will be right when it comes out... On all the ugly remarks, you can't judge the car on the stock photos alone and a modified one will most likely look a lot better too so thats another thing to wait and see about and when the current fit came out it wasn't exactly a swan either looks grow on you sometimes. Look at the new CR-V when that thing came out I thought it was UGLY. my mom has one now and I have to say it is growing on me for sure. But to each his own.

I not entirely sold on the 09 in the looks department either. But the interior and minor improvements sorta make it worthwhile. At first I didn't like the looks of the current fits but now it's growing on me along with all the different seating arrangements. I'm stuck at either taking the plunge within a month or so or waiting the 3-5 months until it's release.

i agree there have been some good upgrades in the interior, but why did they have to change the speedo design, it looks so bland now

I think personally you should wait because then if you don't like the new one and decide you like the current one better you will probably find a really good deal on the current one. Which right now from what I hear there's not too much negotiating with the price still, at least not in my area. Good luck though.

Nope. I just got my '08. I was aware of the '09 redesign but I just finished waiting for the current model's price and availability to come down to earth and I found exactly what I wanted at the price I wanted to pay. I'm super-happy with this car. I think the new one looks great too though and I'm sure it will sell really well.

I'm going to wait until the 09 becomes available. Then decide whether to get an 09 or 08.

I'm a little worried because while there are definitely Fits available, there are very few manuals in the area... so I worry should I decide to go with the 08 that there will be no manuals left. And that would be terrible. We'll see.

To be completely honest, the thing that I really like about the 09 is the head rest change...

I am on the waiting list for an 09 Fit. Looking to get a white or silver 5mt sport w/ nav and esc. Have the ability to get the car at true dealer cost no matter which year I buy so am just going to wait on the 09. Since it will be a work vehicle I mostly like the idea of the new engine, larger front seat frames, dead pedal, and the integrated arm rest.

However I am hoping to learn more about the Fit Hybrid specs before then and may end up waiting on one of those instead.

Have one on order, Sport with auto/navi. Don't know when it will arrive, probably late Sep/Oct.

I will be hitting the dealership the second it comes out. Anyone want to buy a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Maybe in 10 years or so, or if the Fit I have blows up. The car works so I have no need to trade up.

I'm probably selling it out right. I already have someone who wants to buy it when the new one comes in and mine has a lot of miles so the trade in value is not so good.

I'll probably get one as soon as my loan is done on my 07 Fit or I get a better job.

I have an 07 Fit - one of the first that hit the showroom

I am definitely getting the 09 with nav and stabilizer. Honda's nav is one of the best. But wait, Honda just announced that they will be making a FIT Hybrid for 2010. Hope it is not based on the insight engine specs in a FIT bod.

I originally wanted a civic si, and I may still get one, but with gas prices going up like crazy I may get a 09 fit and invest the $10,000 difference.
