Post how much you just paid for gas!
I'll buy your supply and demand theory. Problem is no one is buying SUV's anymore. People have no jobs, I don't think people are driving as much. Hence I personally don't think demand has gone up. So what's the reason for the price creeping up slowly? Price of oil is down so that can't be it. I may be wrong but that's how I see it. SUV's are still sitting in dealer lots gathering dust. I think they are doing it so no one notices, and unfortunately the people that should notice, don't. Much easier to slowly ramp up the price. Because if they go from $2 to $3 in one weekend then people will complain. But if you do it a few cents a day...no one will notice. It's the Oil company's version of the Jedi Mind Trick.

Prices are good right now and I need a 4x4 with some kind of reasonable ground clearance... but not a truck.
Maybe picking up an MDX...
You know if everybody pick up just one SUV then demand will spike for gas & steel.... my job will suddenly become relevant again and me & my peers can start flooding the stock market with left field investments again! See... instant cure for a bad economy! YOU can make a difference, get a gas guzzler today!

Gas will rise and drop like normal. The prices dropped because people were not buying gas/or driving as much. Thus ECON 101 Supply and Demand. We were not demanding it so they lowered prices for us to want to buy it again then once they get us hooked they raise the prices again.
For most people the $2.15 is alot cheaper than the $4 that they were paying almost 1 year ago so they wont make that big of a stink about it

lol everything is expensive in PO.
even the property taxes
1.99 here on Port Orange, FL. Chevron on Nova Rd/Madeline Ave.
It's 2.03 down the road. And somehow Daytona Beach is 1.94 last I checked at the raceway on ISB. I still don't understand how prices can be substantially different (sometimes I've seen .10+ cents differences) within an 8 mile radius.
We're talking 87 octane, BTW. All the other grades are just over the $2 mark. *shudder* it's looking like a return to an era of not wanting a boosted fit once again!
