new fit owner

I just took delivery of a 08' blackberry pearl fit sport auto, on friday. So far i love it and the accessory that came with it is the cargo mat. that mat is priceless! I live in pensacola, fl. and drive to louisania to work offshore. i make the trip twice a month and am looking forward to the FIT's great gas mileage and nice comfort.

I guess the only real modifications i have for the car is to get some floor mats, tint the windows, and then a exhaust tip to finish up the 'sport' look. At 6'2" i have no desire to lower the car and the sport wheels 'fit' very well so no need in changing them.

my previous vehicle was a 89' K5 blazer that i absolutely loved but its unreliable then of course 13mpg. it will be missed but not in the pocket book.

Congrats from another proud BBP owner! BBPs are certainly one of the rarer colours available and demand for them is high, but I'm glad I held out for it.

The roof rack consists of the following components:

Yakima Rail 42"
Yakima Landing Pad #1 (2 sets)
Yakima Control Towers # 8000214 (not the Q-Towers)
Yakima 48" Crossbars (but you could by any width you want)

Someone else just quizzed me on it and I have a small write up on another thread here with more pictures. I couldn't find anyone else who installed the perma rails on their Fit, so I was bit nervous doing it.. but my installer did a great job. Hopefully others will see it and be able to decider easier if it works for them. Climber347 is looking to do the same setup and it sounds like he's gonna try to document the whole process, so keep an eye on that thread if you want to know more.

Also, picked almost everything up at REI 20% off ... sale price knocks a lot off...

Congrads on your new ride - that color just rocks it! I got to see it last year during the auto show.

Good choice BBP is, in my opinion, the best color because it is never the same twice. Change the lighting and the color changes. Every morning it's like I have a new paint job.

The salemen offer me a silver one with $400 cheaper but I refused. Does anybody knows why ?

Consider adding the side color matched protectors to your option list.
