2008 Honda Fit Sport Coupe/Hatchback reviews - CNET Reviews

It actually gave it a 5.9... but how credible is a site that reviews tech gadgets, electronics, etc. originally.

1) They don't know anything about cars, they are computer nerds. If it ran Windows and needed service pack updates they'd have a raging boner for it.

2) It doesn't have a lot of blinky lights and NAV and computers and Bluetooth so they lost interest after 3 minutes.

3) A CNET car review has about as much credibility as a Road & Track article about the future of Linux in enterprise market.

Yawn... no surprise. Funny that the comments and reader reviews are overwhelmingly positive with the only two negative ones having been written by chimps.

I read that article! Road and Track said that by 2002 Microsoft would be gone and everyone would be using Linux!!!

This is what they listed as the bad:

The bad: Honda offers very little tech in the Fit, with a mediocre stereo and no iPod integration or satellite radio
I don't think they actually care about the car part of the car...

Anyone shopping CNet for a car doesn't deserve a fit. Everything that they are reviewing is crappy on every car. If you want good ICE you really have to go aftermarket anyway.

CNET should stick to what it knows, Electronics. I think the FIT is a great car for the money. If I wanted high tech I would have bought a gas-guzzler. What a Idiot of a writer.

it makes no sense for them to review anything other than electronics. this whole review was pointless.

Well, one bad review out of 40 or so isn't bad!
And considering Road & Track, Car & Driver, Motor Trend, Canadian Auto ect have all given outstanding reviews..............the computer nerd review must be given the consideration from where it came from.
Guys the know computers, not cars.

They were hoping for the Starship Enterprise, but were driving a Fit instead. From a tech standpoint, the Fit is lacking. Just one more reason why I like it.

yah, the FitSport has more potential to be a car guy's car. it's best
those nerdy gizmo geek types to stay inside and play with their iphones
and blackjacks.

it's best to keep them off the streets.

While I agree that the review was for the most part idiotic, I do agree that the paddle shifters in the Sport AT should have been column-mounted rather than wheel-mounted. And I agree that Honda should have made the stereo easily replaceable, with a standard single- or double-DIN mount, considering the popularity of aftermarket systems in cars of this class.

Real men use clutches, not torque converters.

We got an 08 Fit Sport in December and we absolutely LOVE it!!

All it needs is an Armrest! Everything else - performance, mpg, versatility, looks, have been great.

We bought a Civic Hybrid the same day and we switch off...we just love the peppy Fit, especially compared to our Hybrid.......

If they made a FIT Hybrid, we think they'd sell a million of them!

Has anybody read the Ladies Home Journal review on Harley Davidson's new Softail Cross Bones model? They praised it for it's nostalgic styling, but then criticized it for not having a passenger seat, as well as for not having any optional pastel colors.

I don't get it... The Fit has an MP3 stereo, aux input, optional ipod kit, and I think it sounds great being 200w... That's more than you can get in any Civic except for the Si.
What do they want?
