Cold temp light - controls?
After some searching on this forum, I have found out that the cold temp light goes off at @130.
Does the ECU do anything differently, other than running on a "choke" setting, with the engine/transmission while the light is on?
In a previous auto, I had the cold temperature light. Until the light shut off, the automatic transmission would not shift into high. Of course when it was really cold (20 or lower) the transmission would not shift into high even after the light went off...until things were warmed up enough.
Thanks ahead.

The cold start indicator light is merely a dashboard sign that the engine is in startup mode; the timing, injection duration, and several other considerations for running in or just after startup 'map' is in effect. It is during that time that you shoud not scream the engine nor lug it. Drive smoothly and without stress until the oil galleries are full and all bearings fully lubricated.
Thats all it needs to say.
