Look a smart car!?

So I was going to the YMCA today and as I pulled through the parking lot looking for a space (in the very back away from all the bad parkers) I passed a family.
My windows were down and the first thing I hear is a kid's voice going "Look a smart car! Cool!"

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Just wanted to share my story.

real!

I saw an actual smart car yesterday. The Midwest is slow to change and we're just now seeing more fits. I've been looking for smart cars too. I still get "is that a hybrid" or "how's the hybrid?" even from my own family. I guess the fit is, in fact, a SMART car. It's just not a Mercedes smart car. I guess it's like a smart van!

I've seen very few Smart Cars around here. When asked what car Im getting I say with pride "A Honda Fit Sport Automatic Vivid Blue Pearl!"

Peoples response? "A Honda What? Whats that?" and I also get the age old questions as well as others "Is it a hybrid?"

I think since the hybrids are so much in the news with the skyrocketing gas prices everyone thinks everyone buying a new car is a hybrid. However I still get wide eyes when I say it gets in the mid 30s mpg

I just hope no one mistakes our Fits for a "Daewoo Aveo"

That would be the ultimate blow to my testicles. Owwwwwwwww.

Yep, they still make Daewoos, Chevy's "revolutionary" Aveo is just a Daewoo shipped in from Korea and rebranded.

I don't know if this is true or not, but one of my co-workers told me that the Fit is made entirely of (woman) repellant!

Seriously, I read an article in the latest Consumer Reports that talked about how terrible Smart Cars are at the very things they should be good at: cornering, zipping around town, etc. In fact they said two average sized people would have a tight fit in the Smart Fortwo.

If it had woman repellant...then how come they are so attractive to me (a woman)?
