Smile Greetings And Salutations!

Hello!

I've found lots of good information searching this forum. I'll be picking up my brand new FIT tonight! Yay! It's my first new car ever and I'm alternately excited and kind of nauseous.

I've ordered the floor mats (lame that it doesn't come with them), the cargo area mat, seat covers and will be ordering the dead pedal and console soon. I drove a 1986 Honda Civic SI for 12 years and absolutely loved it. If they still made them in the body style that I like, I'd buy one brand new. The FIT seemed the closest in a long time so I just decided to do it. I got the red Sport.

Hope to get to know you all soon!

Cheers,
Jeanine

We had a 1989 2-door red Civic hatchback that we LOVED. No power windows, no a/c, no power locks, hell -- it didn't even come with a radio or passenger side mirror -- but that sucker got us 45-50 mpg. I swear we'd still be driving it if it wasn't stolen out of our driveway. We got almost 200,000 miles on it by then though.

Enjoy your Fit -- we love ours!

There will never be another car like that.

Yep, mine was red too. I had the SI so I got AC but that was about it. Haha. I had 220,000 miles on it and still sold it for $1,000 to a kid that was going off to college. SUCH a great car! It was stolen once and left down the road.....

Thanks everyone!

I car my car home safely last night (barely!). Some dumb twat tried to change lanes and run me off the road. If she'd hit my brand new car while I was driving it home from the dealership I think I might have shanked her......

Same here. Sounds like we had the same base-model 70hp beast. Mine was a 1990 and the only option we got was A/C. Out the door new for like $7500. Best car I ever owned, but the Fit's quickly catching up!
